E3 Return to Castle Wolfenstein shots

Anyone else seen them? They look amazing! Some of them could almost fool you into thinking that they were photos...

And this is with a modified Quake 3 engine. What will the Doom 3 engine be capable of?

I seen the suckers in a pc gamer magazine and all I can say is that it rules!Kick ass graphics and more!

I wounder if Doom 3 will be like that,maybe even more?Who knows.......

Bah. That's just an assortment of models. Since it's a fighting game, they can go completely nuts with the polycounts because there's no engine except the animation system.

Still, they look impressive, but we won't be able of walking through these woods in a FPS for 2 more years.

Comparing RTCW with DooM 3 is like comparing Doom engine with Quake engine graphics.

I've seen these pictures too in PC Gamer(the new issue); they are amazing. One can only wonder what the new Doom engine will be capable of.

Only the part that's visible. That's the big difference. One of the biggest aspects of an engine is the VIS algorythm quality.
Basically, that's why Tresspasser, Tribes, HALO and Ultima IX have low to severe framerate drops.
