I can't get music in source ports!

I can't get music working with any source ports, not even boom. I have music in normal doom and doom2, but not in any source port. Sound effects work great though. My speakers are a bit tweakish, and I don't think my sound card is too grand, but it should work!!! It works with the normal doom! I'm freakin' out!

I'm having a similar problem. I tried to use Eternal DooM with some of the popular ports, but sometimes the music doesn't play for some reason. I know the music works fine with DOOM95, but not on the other ports.

ok, i think this is atleast the third time i answer this question at this forum.... head on over to zdoom.notgod.com and in the forums section this problem has been discussed alot and so far everyone has been able to fix it :o)

(the main thing is: if windows is able to play .mid files music should be in the windows based source ports too , although you might have to setup some stuff)
