Guest Epiphany Posted August 3, 2000 Does anyone know what the real story is behind Paul Steed's departure from id? Some say that his work was not up to the standards of what id expected from its employees but I cannot see why they would feel this way. Paul steed was a self confessed Doom freak (from what I read in an interview with him anyway) and it was this interest of his that made him want to join id in the first place. He clearly is a great artist who brought graphical ideals from the Doom series into Quake II and then to a lesser extent, Quake III. What I really want to know is was he opposed to a Doom sequel and is this why he left? Did he leave on his own behalf or was he fired? Gimme the dirt people! 0 Share this post Link to post
Guest Erick20 Posted August 3, 2000 from what I understand, he was canned. If you want the full story, listen to it from J.C. himself... http://finger.planetquake.com/plan.asp?userid=johnc&id=14425 0 Share this post Link to post
