deadnail Posted February 1, 2001 Ported? Doesn't the Windoze version run on Linux with a little SDK or whatever the hell file is needed for support? I would figure the same would apply here, just a little download and the same disc works. I doubt that support for both will come on the same disc, though. I know Half-Life gets Linux support this way... I think... oh hell. 0 Share this post Link to post
Guest plura Posted February 1, 2001 Well, if it works with pak files like quake then all you need for Linux is a client. I wont be able to run the windows client, well i could by using wine but that really sucks.. SDK wont help here.. :) 0 Share this post Link to post
deadnail Posted February 1, 2001 So you DO know what the hell I was saying then? A little file will let it play. A 'client' then. Oh yeah, _Software _Development _Kit. Hi! I'm a moron. 0 Share this post Link to post

Zaldron Posted February 1, 2001 Carmack had said that they will still support the Linux community, but they were not going to port TA because of the little market on Linux users. Q3A was ported, so, why they wouldn´t?? 0 Share this post Link to post
