new monsters?

havn't seen this topic yet!

ok here's my list

1 grunts (armed with shotguns like quake)
2 ogres (with chainsaw and grenades like quake)
3 zombies (quake style - gib kill only!)
4 imps (more spikes!)
5 cacodemons
6 pain elementals
7 lost souls (skulls)
8 skel's (jason and the argonorts [yes I can't spell] style)
9 knights and death knights (quake style)
10 harpies (hexen style)
11 barons of hell and knights of hell (the smaller barons)
12 the cyberdemon*(there is only one cyberdemon)
13 spiders and baby spiders
14 arch viles (one of the all time great monsters)
15 wraths (grim reapers)

* has any one elce played the tower of babel for quake?

You haven´t seen the topic yet? And you think we never discussed it or what?!

Quake1 is a very cool game, but Doom should be Doom... If you have Q1 zombified grunts, ogres and gib-kill-only zombies instead of the typical Doom zombie, it would be too quake1-ish of course.

What do you mean with nr. 8? The argonauts from the greek legends? and what is that "skel"?
Nr. 13: Spiders and baby spiders, how cute :) ...but I don´t think it would scare me...

Zombies(gib only)? Grunts? Orges? Quake was ok, but why use stuff made from another game by the same people? Spiders are to "RESIDENT EVIL)".

OK, in your list you got Ogres, and they are from Quake, and I don't like Ogres from Quake.
And what's with spiders and baby spiders? I think you mean the Spider Mastermind and the Arachnotron.
What's a skel? Do you mean skeleton?
As for any creatures from Hexen 2, well, those might be OK.
Just keep all the original Doom 1&2 monsters in D3.

Just keeping all the old monsters from Doom1+2 also isn´t such a good idea. The Revenant for example totally sucked.

skel is short for skeleton
have you seen the film jason and argonauts the one with the
fighting skels? (if you havn't you should!)
try watching 'evildead 3 the army of darkness' you'll know what I
mean when you see it!

reason I keep bringing up quake is since D3 is gonna be the best ID game ever it should have the best things ID have made in it!

RESIDENT EVIL sucks yea!
but I ment the spider demons from DooM ][

'gib kill only' means just that it can only be killed when gibed
in a lot of zombie movies (like the evil dead films)the zombies
can only be killed by 'total bodly dismemberment' (cutting off all 4 limbs and the head) a gib would be just as efective!

eg: your playing Quake e1m3
pick up the grenade launcher
round the corner..........arrrrg! zombies!
you fire you super shot gun BANG 1 or 2 zombies fall to the floor
moaning uuurrr
if you a first time player your thinkin' "hey that was easy!"
(but you'd be wrong) before long the zombies get up again moaning grrruuuu!
and start hurling bit's of rottin' flesh at you again!
so load your grenade launcher fire and......CLICK....TINK....TINK
....CLANG....BOOM! the zombies make a GLUGGULP! sound and cunky
bit's of zombies splatter on the walls!
and that is what I mean by gib kill only!
