Our names in Doom 3.

Wouldn't it be cool to have marines in D3 with our names?
Example > A scripted sequence with zombies eating Zaldron's brains out..
Example > Somewhere in the first level you see a soldier's tag lying in a pile of blood with "Deadnail" on it... Cool huh?
Example > Another scripted sequence with a soldier being beaten to death by imps, while screaming : "No, Maonth, Heeeellllppp !!!"

Actually this would be cool for multiplayer games - to have your name actually appear on you player model in the game. This way you wouldn't need the constant huge grey letters in the middle of your screen like in Q3A.

Funny idea! I would enjoy it, and it would create a kind of "familiar" athmosphere in the game :)

Thats A Good Idea, just gotta make sure that when my name goes on, it will be on the heroes model!!!! (Yeah Right)

Most would agree that it would have to look cool when something bad happened to our "Named" characters.

I mean the further on in the game you meet these walking targets, the more spectacular their exit, because surely they would have to be clever to get that far.

Or If ID don't do it, maybe there could be some way that we could do it?

Oh yeah, Team Insanity. That's Chief with the car stories though, usually I just complain about everything in general. But I've bought more cars in the last two years than I have underwear (I'm on my 4th now and will be 5th probably in a month or two.) I did have a giant rant on The Barnacle condemning idiots on the roadways, I thought you came across that.
