ISP Attacks

A bunch of hackers tried to take out the US's ISPs. They didn't do very much.

The National Infrastructure Protection Center (NIPC) issued a statement Monday afternoon saying it had "received credible, but nonspecific information that wide-scale hacker attacks against United States Web sites and Internet service providers (ISPs) are being planned ... possibly emanating from Western Europe." **From CNN.com

I hate AOL, it's too bad that didn't get hacked to hell. oh well, at least i don't have to deal with it often :)

Online security firm Riptech Inc. said that as of noon EDT they had not witnessed any notable evidence of an attack.
Sounds like CNN just preparing for an excuse when AOL (Owned by CNN) goes down :P

Bleh. AOL is kinda like the Microsoft of ISPs. It brought an easy to use Internet service to the masses. Although AOL is lame.

I thought CNN was owned by AOL (Always Off Line), not vise-versa.

what pisses me off the most if every PC company tries to offer it with a new machine, even though I DON'T WANT ITS NASTINESS.
