bout the exits and ways of improvement: me thinks that deamon needs to go to dentist - his upper jaw looks injured; then the left arm position - it looks like its a continue of his right one...

That's a nice drawing there, wyvern. However, what's up with the color scheme? And with the spines coming out of its back, the demon looks faintly amphibian to me. It looks a lot like something out of Resident Evil 1 or 2.

Hey, I like it a lot - the spiky things down its spine shouldn't have been there imho, but that's just a small thing.

I'll beg and beg to get railgunner banned from this forum (doubt it would really take that much begging really) if you stay and keep making pics.

Railgunner hasn't caused enough trouble to get his ass banned (I still owe him an apology for posthelling some of his stories - but that wouldn't keep me from wanting him banned IF he behaved truly ridiculously), but I don't think you should stop posting art just because a few dumb people say that it doesn't look good. Believe me, your art is better than some of the other art posted on this forum and therefore, I'll get pretty sad if you stop posting your art.

He's the only person that shows off by saying his dad makes him watch porn. Wrong, Ling will just about ban anyone he doesn't like as soon as he sees a fuck up by that person (sephiroths posts in RR are an example). Only reason why Railgunner is still here is because he's sort of entertaining, but this time he did tend to anoy me with his hurtful comment twords Silverwyvern.

You obviously don't know the different between acting like an asshole or just being plain, uhhh, stupid.
DooMBoy hasn't been banned because of his stupidity has he? Now, to get banned you'll need to go through the following steps (more or less - if you do just one of these thing in a particularly bad way, then it's an instant ban regardless of not doing one of the other things):

1. You insult or attack people for little or no reason whatsoever, starting potential or full-blown flamewars.
2. You ignore polite warnings from the Mods to behave.
3. You start dissing the Mods/Admins for doing their jobs - constructive, polite criticism is ok, but insinuating that the Mod/Admin is a total jackass is a sure way to earn the further disrespect from the Administrative Branch.
4. You keep reposting threads/posts about a subject that got a previous post/thread killed.

Note: I write Admin and Mod with capital letters because it's the grammatical correct way to spell it - titles are always written with a capital letter and I assume that 'Mod' and 'Admin' is a title as well. I do this especially with the word 'Mod' to distinguish it from 'mod' which means 'modification' and not 'Moderator' - not, like Lament so stupidly remarked, that I try to elevate me and the other Mods to a higher status as if we "were higher beings".

Sephiroth was banned from RR a few days ago, he didn't start a flamewar, he didn't get any warnings, he didn't 'diss' anyone, and didn't repost a thread. All he did do is post a couple STUPID threads and got banned from that forum. That proves your set of rules wrong. And besides you said that he shouldn't get banned unless he does some ridiculous things, well he did, a lot of them, worse than doomboy. Well, what do you expect me to do? I can't just post a thread in the Admin forum about "how I think Railgunner should get banned because Orion says so" - I have to see for myself that he truly does behave like a shithole and so far, I have seen nothing of that sort from Railgunner.
And judging by the examples you posted above of stupid things Railgunner did, I have the feeling that you interpret stupid things to do differently than some of the Mods.

Maybe Sephiroth was banned because he acted stupid on purpose - Sephiroth hasn't always been this stupid, so there are grounds to believe that he pretended to be stupid just for the sake of being annoying. I wasn't the one to ban him, I didn't take the decision - whoever took the decision to ban Sephiroth might have found that he had a good enough reason to do so.

And one more thing: I might have forgotten a few causes for getting banned - I just typed what I believe is the reasons for banning. Ok?

Ok, this officially isn't worth arguing about anymore, you obviously missed a lot of stuff when you were away, and I just got a head ache and my blood pressure probably shot up through the roof. /me listens to some classical music.

I appreciate all the defense I'm getting... but there were a couple hurtful posts I've recieved other then this one. None so blatent.. but it left me with the feeling that nobody wanted to see my work anymore.

I post art to this forum because it's just fun and silly. I'm not looking for comments or reasons why it's -not- the demon I thought I was drawing because it's not a perfect cookie cutter from the game.

I like taking my own spin on the monsters... like chest hair on a baron and spikes on a bull demon. Not everyone may agree with what I do... but I have fun doing it. I post art other places too.. and yes sometimes I get money for some of it... I'm not saying: 'thank me because I do this for free!' Not by ANY stretch of the imagination.

I just would like more respectful ways of telling me that my creature isn't quite what you had in mind. I believe totally in free speech... if you want to critique my work, that's great! But please bear in mind that artists (not just myself) work hard on their art. I will guarentee you that artists of every skill level -try- really hard at making a nice picture. A picture reflects the artist in many ways... We want a good solid image so people know we really put our heart into it. Some people aren't quite McFarlane yet - to put it politely - but they still try... and this fact alone deserves respect.

In the long run, if you want to critique my work, tell me what you didn't like without telling me it sucks. Nothing hurts more then working on a picture for 4 hours then having someone reply with less then ten words on why it was a huge failure and a waste of time.

I'm not going to scold people every time I get a bad comment, but my last work (this one) got more hurtful jabs than good. It made me think " And -why- do I post here? "

I must request you guys stop pointing fingers at Railgunner... he's not the sole reason I left. He was just that one piece of straw that broke the camel's back, as it were. I don't want to single people out...

When you post some pics you should be prepared for some criticism now and then. Not all have the same tastes, you know.

As long as there are someone who likes what you do and you still like to draw you should continue.

While there was some bad criticism on your recent work there was also plenty of posts whith applause. Why did you ignore these, just because there was some bad posts?? You really have to calm down now and then.



Besides, I am still longing to see your take on an arch-vile. :)
