XLightningStormL Posted October 12, 2015 Unless shotguns are a starting weapon, they are terrible: - forced as a melee weapon (same range as a real life Halberd, RL shotguns are supposed to be a close range (0-50m) - more like a training shotgun, weak damage, too far spread Unless UAC was distributing weaker than normal ammunition, they should buff weapon damage. some Zombiemen seem to use some form of Plasma Pistol, another possible weapon? Possible Starting weapon? Rocket Launchers are also bad, they were used against some sort of grunt enemy and it took two direct shots. In terms of weapon power, DooM and Saints row are some what parallel SR1 & D1: Weapons were powerful, somewhat relastic SR2 & D2: Identical to first SR3 & D3: Weapons were somewhat good SR4 & D(2016): Weapons are weak, most likely to cater to the twelvie audience they were/are trying to tend to Some sort of Heat Ray/Microwave Laser could be seen at one point during the Hell spotlight, possibly some form of Enemy weapon, but hopefully a usable weapon. 0 Share this post Link to post

Prologue-9 Posted October 19, 2015 So far they all look very, very satisfying, especially in comparison to Doom 3's feedback-less ones. They've got the punch and the enemies show it. Plus, alt-fires are a thing I've missed for a long time, they fit pretty well in Doom. I also dig the sleek, future-retro look they've all got to them. 0 Share this post Link to post
wheresthebeef Posted October 19, 2015 They look good and beefy and the shotgun's sound effects are great, just a bit too generic in this day and age; besides the super shotgun, they all look like Destiny weapons. Oh God, not a frag grenade. Hopefully that's only for multiplayer. Because I won't be using It In DM. The personal teleporter, I like. The weapons I love. Chezza Posted October 19, 2015 There are Wads that include grenades for Doom and actually very useful! Think of the map "The Waste Tunnels" in Doom 2, where there are various Imps hidden inside mini trap doors in the floor. Dropping a grenade in those does wonders. VGamingJunkie Posted October 19, 2015 Actually, come to think of it, Duke 3D has pipe-bombs which are essentially remote activated grenades, which makes them much more useful than regular frag grenades. Thanks to pressing the 6 button, you can also spam them so you can set up a very effective ambush. There are also trip-bombs but they aren't nearly as useful since a laser's going to be more visible than a little pipe-bomb and you might accidentally set them off yourself. 0 Share this post Link to post

Gzegzolka Posted October 20, 2015 Nah, D3 grenades sucks a lot, I finish first this game without using them because it took too long to throw them while fighting all those demons that try to jump on my face. On second my second play I use them more often but mostly because I know where demons hide. There should be button for throwing them like in FEAR or Halo, so they can be used during fight without need to cycle throe all guns I hold. 0 Share this post Link to post
