Yup. You grab him by the ankles, pull him to his knees and smash his head off. Lots of luck to pull it off but it was quite satisfying. The eye gouge and head stomp were much more common and just as satisfying.

But you were standing on the ground, right?? :) I mean you didn't double jump of the ledge and actually grabbed him in the air, right? :)

All the weapons sound perfect. The shotgun, especially, sounds really punchy!

All weapons feel so punchy! I really like them all. .but shotgun especially. .I also like the sound of the empty shotgun shell hitting the floor! Nice touch! I hope id will leave these as they are now. .Remember D3 shotgun and pistol sounds? My God. .

Nooooooo! Thats realy bad :( So if i want to create doom 2 inspired map with ultra violence difficulty (i think majority people play wads this way) so i have to use normal difficulty, and put text in the map discription that this game is balanced only on normal difficulty or what?

For as far as the mp goes; they have already done just that.

Thankfully single player is a little more forgiving in that aspect. I fully expect that to be a very fun experience still, even with the focus on consoles/mass audience/accessibility/howeveryouwanttocallit.

We know you will get less checkpoints as the difficulty goes up.

Are you referring to anything else?

Because thats all I know to be confirmed. If you know more i'd love to hear it.

Hmm. I guess it's no longer "confirmed" that you are vulnerable during GKs.

They definitely don't sound like an "optional" move now--at least no more than say shooting enemies is "optional." Bonus health and ammo, bonus xp, and temporary invincibility will mean glory kills all day, everyday, I think. Just like they show in the promotional material. Truth in advertising for once, I guess.

Doom 1 was available on consoles too
I don't want the game to hold my hands

Around 6:59 in that russian video you can see how a Hell Knight is killed with the chaingun and bonus items fly out when he goes down without the player performing a glory kill.

Maybe it's just older video material that is obsolete by now.

If you think that's bad I could make it worse.

Lastest episode (#29) of Edge magazine, page 69 first column at the bottom:

"Married to the glory kills is another layer of depth in the form of player character configurations. We're only given a brief look at this aspect, since the studio isn't yet ready to show its entire hand, but the currency you earn from glory kills can be spent on alternative weapon firing modes and gameplay modifiers."

in the last video, I noticed there's a compass with a marker like Skyrim that tells you where to go
MrDope can you confirm it ?

If it is what I'm thinking at least can I disable it on Settings?

Have you found a way to force the r_ commands yet? I've been trying my ass off to turn that shit off but it just doesn't wanna work.
