how are those things below our names generated? for me it says green marine. what is it and how is it made?

It's called a title, it changes with your postcount. Or if you're unlucky enough some admin will change it for you. Chances are you won't like it, but it will be funny.

I got to choose half my title, the other half was given to me...

I think it goes like this:

Registered Lurker - 0 posts
Registered Just to Make One Post - Self-explanatory
Newbie - 2 to 9 posts
Warming Up - 10 to 29 posts
Green Marine - 30 to 49 posts
Mini-Member - 50 to 99 posts
Member - 100 to 499 posts
Forum Regular - 500 to unknown posts
Loser - You don't want to know
Banned - You want to know about this one even less

I'm sure there's a couple more out there, but I don't know of them. As for the custom titles, the moderators (usually randomly, so don't ask for one) can change your title to whatever he wants. Usually it's descriptive of your personality, and you don't need a certain number of posts to get one. For instance, just recently, someone got a new title after 7 (that's right, just 7) posts.

Theres also some real high ones...there is one (actualy it might have been in the old one) called "I must be Lüt" if you have over 5000 or something.

As far as I know the 'I must be Lüt' one is the ultimate in regular titles, and I'm going for it. I think I'll be the first one to get it since everyone else received a custom title before they made 5000. I aim to reach it on September 18th marking my 1 year b-day with this registration.
