What's the best song in a WAD you've ever heard?

Recommended Posts

I suppose it would be cheating to mention the tracks in Revilution that I love, given that I was the music director and had a lot of say in how they came out. That and, it isnt released yet.

Other favourites are TNT's Death's Bells and Legion of the Lost, BTSX's hub themes, and this one track from Duke 3D that I first heard in Ultimate Simplicity. There was also this one track in Soundblock's Plasmaplant beta that I loved, apparently it was from one of the Memento Moris?

Memnto Mori MAP15 and 10. Similar due to French Horns. 15 stands out because of 3:15.

Probably map28 of CC4, that castlevania vibe goes perfectly with doom

Whatever the track is called on Memento Mori II's first level, it's also featured for the second level in Sector 666. It's really awesome sounding, presumably Mark Klem's.

Epic 2 map 27

Chillax map 39 : one of the most beautiful music I have ever heard (and the longest too).

Claustrophobia 2 map 08

Sunder map 14 : I find this music fitting very well with the atmosphere. Very epic tune.

Alien Vendetta map 15 : A classic of midi music , very catchy.

Doom E1M4 : My favourite music from official Doom games.

Slaughterfest 2011 Map 25 (or 26 , the name of the map is "Cat") : Very eerie , this theme is very creepy.

Slaughterfest 2012 map 30 : Awesome black metal music , Awesome level

Hell Revealed 2 map 15 : The most epic metal music I have ever heard in a Wad.

Sunlust map 29 : A crazy music for a hellish level.

There are many, my actually favourites are:

Night Bats by Mark Klem (MM map 7 and map 19), top
Killing Spirit by Sam Woodman (HR2 map 13), incredible atmospheric track
Risen from Death by Grave (HR2 map 17), fantastic song
Music from Chris Laverdure Alien Vendetta map 20, just an awesome music
Alien Vendetta map 32 soundtrack (the intermission track also), great

Requiem and the Memento Mori series have a lot of great songs also

Hey... Can someone please to identify music from Chillax.wad?
I know that MAP39 is 'Knightrider of doom - Legend of the Black Sun' but i would like to know who are author of MAP20, MAP36, MAP40, MAP42.
Does someone know?

Galaxia.wad's MUS rendition of U96's remix of the theme from Das Boot. I have an MP3 recording of it, even, because I actually can't stand U96's remix compared to the MUS file.

it's probably because of the really weird pitch-bending effect going on with the orchestra hit there. i don't mind it myself, but take it out and the track sounds significantly different.

Mark Klem's Land of Able from Strain is criminally underused and one of the best pieces of music he's made. as is Rage, Lordly Might and Breach of Madness from Requiem (though the latter might've been used somewhere else.) i guess what i am saying here is that Mark Klem's music is great in general.
