Killer stuff! They're definitely an underrated band for sure. 0 Share this post Link to post

Keller/Millers previous band with Pete Helmkamp (Revenge, Angelcorpse, Kerasphorus etc) I always found AK to be utterly sub-par next to OFC. Millers drumming has always been on point however. If you haven't heard, check out An Ending in Fire or Stillbirth Machine. Arghoslent = party riffs "Stillbirth Machine," is one of the best Death Metal albums of all time! It's a shame that OFC only played one reunion show. Angelcorpse has some great tunes, too - AC reminds me of Morbid Angel (Mike Browning-era). 0 Share this post Link to post

I play in Heresiarch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eoqhuiuNR98 (supported REVENGE (CAN) in Adelaide last year, supporting IMMOLATION in September later this year.) Vesicant is my band https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NVX8lox7HMI - have just finished writing an album which I'll release via Invictus/Iron Bonehead/NWN later this year. Supporting Inquisition in August, also supported Revenge @ Black Conjuration. Where are you from? Check out Witchrist, Diocletian, Sinistrous Diabolus and Vassafor also from NZ... I think you'll appreciate them. (Been posting songs by these bands from my country since being here... yet certain twats disregard them for not having 'adequate' production). *Btw Mystifier... killer 0 Share this post Link to post
YukiHerz Posted May 5, 2016 I wonder if someone will diss this just for being Japanese. (Or for it being an all-women band, which i hope doesn't happen) 0 Share this post Link to post

My all time favorite all-female Death Metal band (not that it matters... good death metal is good death metal...) Mythic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aF9M0vetBB0 0 Share this post Link to post

I'm really digging "Conflagration," and Vesicant - Savage stuff, total support! I'll definitely purchase a copy of the Vesicant LP when it comes out. And thanks for the recommendations! I'll definitely check those bands out when i get the chance. I think 'adequate' production can suck the life out of a band's sound, imo. There are too many bands these days that make over-produced shite (*cough cough* Decapitated clones). It's refreshing to hear some new bands keeping the bestial metal spirit alive. \m/ I am from Baltimore, Maryland. Unfortunately the "Metal" scene in MD sucks - with the exception of a few awesome bands: Crimson Orchid, Bound By The Grave, and Noisem. Aside from those few, it seems that most bands are riding whatever is trendy at the moment (right now it's ultra-liberal blackened crust punk, or some kind of hipster noise project, haha). 0 Share this post Link to post

It's more about capturing the 'live performance spirit' in the recordings, as opposed to having a crystal clear, washed out tone which doesn't sound unique. Fuck knows why or how that event keeps happening there. 0 Share this post Link to post

I stayed at Kris Hades place while I was over for Evil Invaders, guy would vomit all over himself, sitting on his own couch, then swig back more vodka like it was nothing... was looking for a CD to play to us, then vomit all over his floor. Dave Slave is a punisher... his 'Bass Bionics' hahaha... Interesting you posted Destruktor, I lived in Geelong for a couple of years and became good mates with Glenn back in 2009. Have a look at Impetuous Ritual: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eZ3q9O3HVcU 0 Share this post Link to post
RUSH Posted May 5, 2016 This is my personal favorite death metal album of all time. Old school from Chicago: Ripping stuff that has a large Loudblast bend to the songwriting: The vocals of Demented Ted also remind me of Brett Hoffmann from Malevolent Creation. Especially his sound on "Stillborn." 0 Share this post Link to post
