So we were playing as a pencilneck computer nerd (albeit a very successful one) all these years, thinking it was a tough space marine?

No wonder why he was stuck guarding the drop ship or whatever in the story.

So anyways, Romero said Carmack is definitely not the face of DOOM Guy, and later confirms that the DOOM Guy face is,in fact, modeled after...

**drum roll**

..Nobody.

I was born In '97.

I was still quite the young one when I played DOOM though.

I was eight years old when Doom first came out in 1993. Instead of watching Animaniacs or whatever was on at the time, I was blasting demons away.

Doom was released on my 4th birthday, but my first time playing it was.... on the Snes

And then not long after Doom 2 came out, I played and beat it.... on a mac.

I played the hell out of the PSX Doom version at a neighbors house, and that's when I really fell in love with Episode 1

It wasn't until early 00's that I got a full PC release of all the Doom games and played them to completion.

That hidden demon In the background though.

Yup, that Cyberdemon is skulking around back there taking potshots, although he should work on his aim as the missiles are whizzing over everyones head. I suppose he didn't want to hit the Lost Soul, he's a pretty nice demon.

1 - Why in-game cover is different of the normal cover?

2 - Who is the guy behind of the Marine in the cover?

3 - The gun that marine is firing not appear in any moment.

1 - Probably for Steam

2 - Most likely Doomguy, since he technically by sprites still has the lower part of the shirt visible instead of being ripped.

3 - Originally Machine Guns were part of the game, and were futuristic MP40s (throwback to Wolfenstein) They may have been changed into Machine Pistols before being replaced by the Chaingun, who knows?
