Wovenloaf Posted May 2, 2016 I've been playing Klooni, which is basically Doom with Wolfenstein 3D's flat labyrinthine structure. Great for getting my start with mapping. 0 Share this post Link to post

june gloom Posted May 2, 2016 Kinda burning out on Stalker. I'm nearing the end of Clear Sky, but I don't think I have the attention span to continue past it, so the others will probably be put on hold 'til later this year. I've played them all like a dozen times between the three of them so it's no big deal. 0 Share this post Link to post
Use Posted May 2, 2016 j4rio said:None. :( I actually rarely play anything as of lately. I think I'm losing the entire satisfaction from gaming, I just get into some new hip game and quit it in like 15 minutes due to immense boredom, retro stuff I used to love lasts like 15 additional minutes. I'm getting to be in the same boat over the last few years, modern titles don't seem to hold my interest for long, I bounce between several games. My PS4 is just rotting in a corner. Thankfully I still love my older systems and play them often. If anything this will just free up more time for Doom stuff. 0 Share this post Link to post
Devalaous Posted May 2, 2016 Cyanosis said:Recently started playing Sacred Gold, first time and with a Daemoness, seems like a cool and big ARPG. Needed a break from Torchlight. I really need to finish this game one day. Huge fan of Sacred 1 and 2, even bought the shitty action spinoffs that undoubtedly killed the franchise for good. My main two characters in Sacred 1 are the Daemoness (Her flight skill makes her the only one able to fully reveal the map, great for explorers like me) and the Gladiator (Who literally just jumps on people to death, I used him at first to learn the basics of the game after mastering the second game). Unfortunately the need to explore has forever delayed actually FINISHING the game, as those two characters alone have revealed the entire map up until the part you go to the desert. And I kept getting urges to try a new class.. ________ As for what im playing now myself, with the total death of my laptop stopping all PC games, im stuck with my consoles. Just finished Lost Odyssey (360 RPG) to the point of near-total completion, technically I only need to level everyone to max, learn the last few skills, do the DLC dungeon and get all its exclusives, and get that asshole achievement for getting every single treasure item in the whole game. I followed a guide and STILL missed something somewhere ;_; Only reason I replayed it was because I remember going through several hoops to get a japan-exclusive DLC that I never actually USED. Might as well ACTUALLY play the game again and take advantage of the special accessory I got from that effort, right? 0 Share this post Link to post

Yeah it was very exciting to me to discover this game on GOG, after playing the hell out of Torchlight 1. Only the first two matter it seems, the third was done by some other company and I read it simplified mechanics and made it into a casual action game with no emphasis on looting or grinding. Sounds terrible. The world of Ancaria is definitely huge though, the largest I've seen in an ARPG so far. I'm still covering ground in the Southern Core of the world, the Desert is barely touched. And there's still all of these other locations on the world map, it's nuts. This game is a nightmare for you if you get too caught up in side quests. I'm amused at how many orcs and goblins you slaughter in this though, it's literally an orc and goblin genocide simulator. 0 Share this post Link to post

For a sense of just HOW big, for "full completion" of the game you'd be looking at completing both the ridiculously giant base game AND the Underworld expansion with 8 characters, at least four times each (five if you also do Bronze difficulty for the quests that give permanent stat ups) Game could last you years. And then theres Sacred 2 with its even bigger 3D world which is incredibly well detailed and an explorer's dream. Too bad the PC version has memory leak issues that no unoffical patch could ever fix, some people say they fixed it manually, but ugh, only flaw on the otherwise definitive version (I actually found the series through the Xbox 360 port of Sacred 2, which is only let down by a broken Blacksmithing skill and the lack of the expansion pack + certain patch level) 0 Share this post Link to post

I own it, and was playing through with a friend but was thinking of getting back into it. Any glaring issues like this would be good to know. 0 Share this post Link to post
Devalaous Posted May 4, 2016 Never take the Blacksmithing skill on 360/PS3 version, its totally broken. On my PS3 copy, theres also one very specific spot in Grundelwald (Big dragon forest in Artamark) that crashes the game if I walk into it (its a very specific small area) so that might be universal or it might just be my copy (Doesn't happen on my 360 copy) Other than that, the console version is fine, it just isn't updated to the final PC version patch and never got the expansion pack (The developers died before this could happen) 0 Share this post Link to post
JamesGoblin Posted May 25, 2016 Nothing actually, just foruming and waiting for couple (2017.../le sigh) new releases. PS Hmm...does chess count? 0 Share this post Link to post
Optimus Posted May 25, 2016 I want to start Quantum Break, forced to install Win10 for this, installed it was slowin 970, uninstalled it because I needed space on my SSD. Might install and try later after I finish with Doom 4 (trying to finish achievements and unlock Ultra Nightmare). Then I bought two more games in Steam. I should not forget them and play them before they are forgotten with the 90% I buy. p.s. I don't even rememember what I bought (and I am drunk to check now). It's a shame I don't play. Although I play lot's of Doom now. I see I bought Ico for PS2 and never tried (I heard so much about this game). And I bought Lair for PS3, I heard it's a bad game, but I was a collector and it was a Factor5 game, and first of game to show technical PS3. My retro consoles are collecting dust anyway, always playing on PC. p.s. Game 1 was a rogue like with minecraft graphics, first person RPG, game two was some puzzle with hexagons and lines. 0 Share this post Link to post
Tritnew Posted May 25, 2016 Been playing Fallout 4 on my PS4, It's been a pretty damn good game actually. Like the feel of combat and such, and once you level up, you're a damn killing machine. 0 Share this post Link to post
129thVisplane Posted May 25, 2016 My recent gaming habits fluctuate between Half-Life 1 (waiting to get enough money for Black Mesa Source), some Half-Life 2 with my friend, and a little bit of Blood every now and then. My game library isn't too varied. Mostly contains old-ish stuff, Valve games, Quake 4 and mom games. Been thinking about picking up RTCW again, though. Fun game. i also play two dragon-themed adoptable/pet sites day and night 0 Share this post Link to post

SYS Posted May 26, 2016 Dark Souls 3. It was really fun going into game completely blind (avoiding reviews, walkthroughs, strategy guides and such) and then seeing how much stuff I messed upon completion. Forgoing some graphic fidelity I opted for PS4 port as the souls games are pretty bad on PC. DS3 used essentially the same engine as Bloodborne, and it being a PS4 exclusive, I knew PS4 would be fine right from the get-go. 0 Share this post Link to post

ETTiNGRiNDER Posted May 29, 2016 Dark Messiah of Might & Magic. Seems a lot easier than I remember it when I played some years ago. Not sure if that's because taking a mage skillset is easier compared to a swordsman build, or something else. 0 Share this post Link to post
