That's right, we only got to MAP18 last week before switching modes.
What, you thought we were just going to give up without finishing?

You've all had a week to recover from the chaos caused by the first 18 maps, and now it's time to finish what we started and take on the last 14 maps. Including MAP22. And MAP32. Have fun!

So, we failed the first map of the maplist, got the following three four golden obits:

"Choft fell for Choft's tricks."
"Keyboard_Doomer probably tried playing keyboard-only."
"lego shat a brick."
"lego will lie in bricks of the end of the ambush." (apparently, I missed this one)

...and got kind of very stuck on the second still the first map of the maplist (MAP19); all in the first ten minutes xD

Crazy session lol. With the exception of 21, every map is like a struggle. But it was pretty fun to discuss strategies with people and eventually get stuff done by cooperating well. These maps weren't intended for this kind of playing at all (nightmare, hordes of players, invisibility spheres giving actual invisibility, monsters being able to open fast doors, etc), but somehow there is a lot of depth to it anyway.

We managed to finish whole !6! maps this session; what a performance! But, sarcasm aside, that was actually quite a feat. Anyway, it means we still have 8 maps left to play, but we will be taking a break from Plutonia for a few weeks so that we can recover. Do not rejoice that we will forget about it though; we WILL come back, and we WILL finish it!

In the meantime, let's enjoy the fun memories and mental scars we are taking away from the last two sessions :) Thanks everyone for coming!

Nope, most of those who would know what to do left so we bailed. We had a (rather quick, lol) tr rotation and then an rd + fast rotation also adding maps from part 1.

For map 25 the rocket jump should be quite easy to do in zdaemon, so if you can get past the first part it shouldn't be too much trouble. If the rest of the maps are anything like with non-multiplayer monsters then you should have an easy time.

So well done making it that far! Sorry I didn't stick around longer, especially the second session, I just wasn't in the mood for watching 1 person wait for respawn items followed by attempting to get past 3 cyberdemons in close encounters :)

Cheers for joining us again. I can imagine how frustrating it must be to know the route and what to do but to have to wait for 5 minutes as several players camp one secret to get health and armor and then drop like flies anyway. It was annoying and normally we would solve this either by lowering the item respawn time or giving some health/armor at spawn to all players but it was the first map of the maplist and it felt doable with just a little bit of cooperation so we didn't want to give in just yet. Hope to see you in part 3 as we finish this.

I've tried and yeah, map25 RJ isn't too hard to do - what might be more problematic is to get enough health for it among all of the other players :)
I was even able to do the glide before the RJ but I can't seem to actually teleport after doing it. How the hell does that work?

* This map is quite long and in multiplayer the blue key area is brutally unfair and unfairly brutal even for Plutonia Nightmare standards so starting with the 7th try all players got a megasphere as they joined. The megasphere was removed after beating the map.

** The item respawn time was lowered from 60 to 30 seconds during the 8th try on this map. It was put back to 60 after beating it on 9th try.

1999 deaths and the net time of 5 hours, 46 minutes and 2 seconds constitute mere 5.78 deaths per minute. Come on, team, we can do better than this :P

Nice vid, it's fun to rewatch these memorable moments of frustration and triumph. Thanks for doing these. :) The statistics always surprise me, Tombstone definitely felt longer than 9 attempts.
