Naked zombie vs Fat zombie vs Skinny zombie

Heh, i like the zombie without clothes more, like in the macworld movie, and the one laying in the bathroom next to the mirror. The one with clothes reminds me of some grandpa from Walton mountain. Or some homeless guy from the subway.

I dont like them i dont like them all.. they just look like normal humans that walk slow with their arms infront of them and some rotting flesh.. they need to be more mutilated (bad spelled?)

walking around on a broken leg (foot pointing backwarts).. thier arms twisted so that the bone sticks out.. thier eyes exploded so that you only see a stream of blood running out of theire eye sockets.. stuff like that would be much cooler

I'd have to agree with HammerStroke. I mean, if these guys were just mutilated, mauled, butchered, and possessed, then they are going to show it, ie, ripped flesh, torn limbs, and the glowing eyes from the classic doom. Damn, the zombies from Resident Evil scare me more than these new ones.....

I don't give a shit about what the zombies look like as long as there's something about them that remind me of the old Doom and they DO remind me of the old former humans from Doom1+2 because of their eyes and sharp teeth - but their clothes need to be bloodspattered like the old former humans'.

Oh, and the zombies are quite likely NOT possessed (I may be wrong, but I'd find it stupid if the D3 zombs are just possessed humans) - the possessed humans are the talking soldier guys ("I smell fearrr") that can handle weapons - the civies just got killed and brought back to life by some sinister, hellish force...or something.

I prefer possesedness to undeath. Undead monsters would be too tough given that they basically have no vital organs at all. And how exactly they get "killed" would be a mystifier.

I like the idea about living beings who are being stripped of their minds, leaving behind only a thin sheen of humanity, perhaps being able to mutter a few words while basically being nothing but a foul automaton.

YES!
The idea of zombies being able to use weapons is so dumb and cheesy that it makes me cringe.
Zombies are supposedly not really alive - they are driven by an outside force that drives them to seek human flesh (which they would eat to try and restore their decaying bodies), but since their brains are as good as dead, then they won't be able to handle even the simplest tools like sticks, so how would they be able to handle guns, eh?

We assume that the zombies are just that - zombies - however, the original name for the troopers was 'posessed'. This makes more sense, as a mindless zombie wouldn't be able to throw a punch, much less pull a trigger.

I just hope that the zombies we see in Doom III aren't gonna be the lumbering munching machines we've seen in the likes of Resident Evil.

so far what ive seen is straight out of resident evil and cheesy movies. I liek the idea of zombies that can shoot you

what would be cool is if all of a sudden after having corny "i want to eat your brains" type monsters they give one a gun towards the end of the game. Youd think "oh just another fat dude" until he pulls out and BLAM!

I think the sombies suck from resident evil games.. but the zombies from the movies are sooo cool.. they use anything to get food.. like a axe..

The regualr, flesh eating zombies wouldn't be too fast or smart, but they would be a threat when put in strategic places and posistions. Having them fall ontop of you from weak ceilings or balconies, having them play dead until you past and then they'll slowly stalk you until you turn around, placing them around corners so you have less time to react, etc.

Exactly. Remember the bathroom scene where this corpse is eaten by the pinky? The corpse comes alive after the pinky leaves the room surprise, surprise!

This kind of trap might work for the first time.After that people will end up shooting on dead-faking zombie every time they spot any corpse on ground.

Naah, not if not all bodys are dead-faking zombies. It might cost to many munition to shoot on all dead bodys.
