Create the ultimate band

Recommended Posts

It's simple. Create the ultimate band using any members from any band from any era or style you want.

I'll be creating a metal band, obviously.

Vocalist 1: Ozzy Osbourne (From the Mid 1990s)
Vocalist 2: Rob Zombie (from the White Zombie Years)

Lead guitarist: Zakk Wylde (Black Label Society)
Rhythm Guitarist: Tony Iommi (Black Sabbath. Heaven and Hell)

Bassist: Les Claypool (Primus)

Spoiler

I really wanted to say Geezer Butler...but then I'd just be recreating Black Sabbath.

Drums: Phil Buerstatte (White Zombie)

Keys: St1tch (Mushroomhead)

I think that this lineup would produce some real bone crushing doom sections with some great groove to it. Ozzy and Rob Zombie have already proven that they work well together vocally (like on the song Iron Head). Iommi and Zakk would play phenomenally together as both are great blues guitarists that love that dark and heavy shit. Les Claypool is Les Claypool, so he's in. He can do anything he wants. Phil Buerstatte was great with White Zombie. Very groovy drummer. Finally, St1tch of Mushroomhead would make for a great atmosphere in the songs.

I call it Idle Warship.

Hmm, a tough one.

Steve Vai - Guitars
T.M. Stevens - Bass
Maybe... Zappa's old drummer, Terry Bozzio
And for vocals, hmm some crazy Canadian asshole would fit perfectly..

Vocals: Fuki - Light Bringer
Guitar: Tony Iommi - Black Sabbath
Drums: Mike Portnoy - Dream Theater
Bass: Steve Harris - Iron Maiden
Keyboard: Jon Lord (RIP) - Deep Purple/White Snake

That would be The weirdest Heavy Metal band and i would definitely buy an album.

Some of these bands look pretty damn awesome! Very cool idea for a thread.

Guitar: Tosin Abasi, Frank Zappa
Vox: Paul Young, Phil Anselmo
Bass: Mike Flores (No YouTube vids do Mike Flores justice, saw Origin live and my jaw was on the floor. He's the Tosin Abasi of bass.)
Keyboard/Synth: George Duke
Drums: Mitch Mitchell

I think these musician's styles would blend to make something amazing.. Something way out there, groovy, intense, soulful and aggressive. All these dudes are capable of playing mind blowing stuff at any speed, too - Slow, fast, it doesn't matter, they can rock it as hard as it can be rocked. My ears would love it.

Lead Guitar: Twiggy Ramirez
Bassist: Jules Hodgson
Drummer: Steve "Skinny" Felton
Percussion: Shawn "Clown" Crahan
Keyboard: Switch between Owen (of The Birthday Massacre) & St1tch (of Mushroomhead)

Moody, synthy, depressive, soft to heavy progressions. Call it SEE THE VOID.

I would honestly put forth real money to fund this project.

I'm wondering if this is a reference to something in particular? It sounds funny so I'm curious
