Let's Make More 1-hr Speedmaps

Here's the first session: https://www.doomworld.com/vb/wads-mods/85411-lets-make-some-1-hr-speedmaps/ Was pretty successful. Let's make more.

Build time should be an hour or less. You can do some testing and bug-fixing after that, just to make sure your map can actually be played, but try not to push it. :)

Ugh, I recorded an FDA but it turns out I used the parameter -record1hsvio2_rdwpa_fda.

It was a boring demo, though -- at the end I spent ~4 minutes of the 7.5-minute runtime getting the mancs to hit the AV and the AV to blast damage itself (would have run out of shells otherwise).

I'll make an attempt at this tomorrow, can I do planning on paper prior to setting the timer for 1 hour? And can I do bug fixes after the 1 hour if needed?

FUCK YOU, ICE CUBE!!! - Vanilla compatible, replaces MAP01 in Doom 2. Tested with Chocolate Doom and PrBoom+.

Map layout took me 60-90 minutes while ammo/enemy balance took me like 2 hours. Damn it all to heck.

Benjogami I quit yours after a single death -- wasn't in the mood for this sort of gameplay :p. Might record an exit demo later.

Deadwing, this wasn't bad. I recognize a lot of the design traits from your larger maps, so it was like playing a mini-me version of them, which was cute.

Fun map to run around in. I liked that ominous hole next to the rocket launcher, which turned out to be as deadly as I suspected, but not really in the way that I expected. ;)

I was inspired me to immediately try a pacfist strat, with all those away-facing monsters at the start, and then I couldn't snap myself out of pacifist mode. Would've been a one-try exit but I couldn't find the switch, until I died, which I thought was pretty funny. I tried shooting stuff on my second attempt but it didn't work out. :P

This was good. I was tempted to head for the exit directly after activating the last switch, but decided to kill that entire army of Arch-viles and Demons instead.

muumi's
mouldy's

Both were really fun. Despite dying a bunch of times on muumi's, I didn't feel like saving because it was fun to run through. Loved the tight orchestrated fights in mouldy's. Only complaint is d_runnin. ;)

Thanks for demos people!

Anyway, this was so fun I made another map. I went bit overboard with layout and had too much fun with playtesting, so this one took me something between 2-2.5 hours... One area might or might not have taken inspiration from another map there.

Thanks for the demos rwpa and Benjogami!

The things about that level is that it feels really incomplete and untested haha which is obvious because of the time constraint. The first blue key fight was meant to be much more deadlier, but I messed up the soundblock lines and they wake up way too soon hahaha Also that yellow key trap in the last area could have like a cyberdemon due to the amount of ammo I give haha xD
