Tracer Posted July 8, 2016 That's my question. Is there a way to just have it automatically show up? Or do I have to check the box every time? 0 Share this post Link to post
Cupboard Posted July 8, 2016 Signatures suck and so do image signatures 0 Share this post Link to post
Voros Posted July 8, 2016 I only give my signature when I don't know if a poster is joking/being sarcastic. 0 Share this post Link to post
MusicallyInspired Posted July 8, 2016 You all are a strange lot aren't you? With your strange conventions and predispositions. That's ok. I show my signature every time for news and website updates. It's two lines of text so it's not too busy to look at. 0 Share this post Link to post
Tracer Posted July 8, 2016 General concensus appears to be that I am just better off not doing this. Oh well. I'll just save it for special occasions. 0 Share this post Link to post
Clonehunter Posted July 8, 2016 I used to like small signatures until I went to a site where massive, over bloated sig were allowed. Awful. Never again. Never forget. 0 Share this post Link to post
Tritnew Posted July 8, 2016 I only use my signatures in my blog posts. 0 Share this post Link to post

fraggle Posted July 8, 2016 I don't even know if I have a signature. EDIT: apparently I don't. 0 Share this post Link to post

fraggle Posted July 8, 2016 My favourite part is the note that "only registered users may have signatures". A throwback to those more innocent times before spambots, when it was common for forums to allow anonymous posting. 0 Share this post Link to post

I need people to see my links. I'll probably delete the stupid rant while at it, so you can't call me out… 0 Share this post Link to post
Kirby Posted July 8, 2016 SIGNATURE CHECK! EDIT: I haz no sig :( (Actually I probably coulda just checked my profile but ehhhh) 0 Share this post Link to post
Rayziik Posted July 8, 2016 I really don't mind signatures when they're only one line. The fill up the otherwise empty blue space beneath people's one line posts. 0 Share this post Link to post
SavageCorona Posted July 21, 2016 People with links to their cool stuff as long as it's not an eyesore are ok 0 Share this post Link to post

That's why .signature file was recommended to be 4 lines max in the good old days (Usenet). Back then people actually tended to follow netiquette rules like that. People who didn't were mocked or flamed. Even in the BBS days (including FidoNet), the tagline was typically just one line. 0 Share this post Link to post
Marcaek Posted July 23, 2016 I would use mine to advert DM servers but checking it everytime is annoying just because some people can't live without sharing giant memes in every post. 0 Share this post Link to post
Reisal Posted July 24, 2016 Low key sigs are the thing. I hate very tall or image signatures, even more if a forum allows multiple IMGs in it. 0 Share this post Link to post

joe-ilya Posted July 24, 2016 I used to think big signature with images were cool when I was a kid. Also, if you don't like signatures you can disable them via options. 0 Share this post Link to post

And still people I knew personally had huge sigs, just to piss people off. The biggest one I saw was over 50 lines unironically. I know of the "joke one" that people passed around for laughs, but some people honestly didn't know how to stop. 0 Share this post Link to post
joe-ilya Posted July 24, 2016 Someone once put huge pornographic images in their signature in a forum for kids and teenagers, ever since, you needed to had an amount of posts before you could have a signature. 0 Share this post Link to post
