What's inside those boxes?

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know what's inside those big boxes in E2M2- Containment Area? I'm just too curious to know because there's so many of them!

I always imagined they weren't boxes, just large squares with logos on them that looked like boxes. I can't imagine anything being inside them.

It's probably the mislabeled shipment of chainsaws that arrived earlier that week on Mars. So they're just pack full of chainsaws obviously.

I'm not talking about Doom 3. I'm talking about Doom 1.

Chainsaws always somehow end up on Mars on every Doom game.

I find it funny that UAC keeps fucking up with their shipment orders.

Funny enough, it's the Doom film novelization that gives the chainsaw an actual purpose: It's apparently used for rock and steel cutting in that story line.

Goodies. I wish you could open them, maybe some of them are failed experiments or junk/trash being stored for preservation.

So I tried to open one of boxes from E2M2:

Spoiler

What's inside those small boxes? Probably more smaller boxes.

If all that fitted in one crate, there wouldn't be a need to have the other crates, would there?

I've always dreamed of a 3D crate maze. Now that we have portals both in GZDoom and Eternity (and GZDoom also has 3D floors), it's possible. Hell, GZDoom also has good flight support (view gets rendered nicely), so you can equip yourself with jetpacks or rappelling gear.

So can you suggest some WADS which are perfect for GZDoom?
