Illinois Members/Black Sabbath Tourdate

Is anybody from Illinois going to see Black Sabbath on September 4?

a bit of a rant towards you illinoisans:

on topic tho, i didn't even know black sabbath was playing. or even still around. where are they gonna be playing?

Sabbath kicks so much ass, just the ultimate metal sound. Are they still playing with the drummer from Rage Against the Machine because he's pretty legit!

I heard also that Geezer might not be doing much touring after this one is over but I think the decision is not set in stone.

Apparently they work on another new album and made some progress already? 13 was a great album, just fantastic compared to what most people expected. It sounds like the old sound of the first 6 albums. Obviously Iommi has evolved a lot since then and so have the other guys but they made a concerted effort to emulate what made the original Sabbath line-up so iconic and well-respected.

Sabbath was still good after Ozzy left tho. I wish they could play some of those songs regularly and have Ozzy sing them

They're playing at the Hollywood Casino Ampitheatre on September 4. Lawn tickets are twenty bucks. Dedinitely going.

Haha, fucking this. I mean, some of the stateside city drivers suck, but out on the roads it the Illinois drivers that are strangely terrible. I tend to avoid driving down there myself because of that, although a Black Sabbath concert is certainly tempting.

With that said, I'm not actually too familiar with their recent material, only really knowing the stuff from their early, Ozzy years. I imagine I should give the newer stuff a listen too eventually if it's good.

Even though I live here, I agree with the driving points. People in this state are idiots behind the wheel, except me. I signal lane changes, don't follow too closely, don't drive slowly in the passing lane...you know, fucking normally.

Those are my top three off of 13.

It would definitely be cool to see some of you guys there though. Especially if we all wore Doom shirts.
