elbryan42 Posted September 12, 2002 Every station that's on, there's a September 11th rememberance thing on. Take a moment of silence they say. Blah blah blah. If I hear the words "September" or "11th" again today I'll scream. I agree we must remember those who died, but no where does it say to remember Osama Bin Laden's hatred toward the US, and what hatred could cause. I bet you 99.9% of the people in the world hate others the exact same way they did before this tragedy. Just like the jokes right after the 11th, people are being hypocritical. This event should have brought the human race together. Love the person beside you even more, hate others less. Because, tomorrow, they could be gone. Tomorrow, on the 12th, people will go back to their ordinary human lives of hating each other and cause each other misery. Think of it, in the past year, how many times have you hurt someone intentionally you hated, and never thought twice about the concequences? The human race makes me sick. It's like people who go to church every Sunday without fail, learning the word of the Lord, and getting out of church, only to go back screwing people over everyday. Hypocrits, all people. So, on this Sept 11th anniversery, don't just remember those who died. Make a change to your life, and make sure that those people never died in vain. Hate leads to hate easily, but loving everyone as a result of the ultimate hate crime will make you a bigger and better person. Instead of taking a moment of silence, take a life of silence. NEVER forget those who died, and never forget how someone's hatred could cause this much misery. That's all. That's the end of my rant. 0 Share this post Link to post
læmænt Posted September 12, 2002 Couldn't you just post it in one of 5 existing 9/11 threads? 0 Share this post Link to post
myk Posted September 12, 2002 Just wait and see and pay attention. When you were small and they told you about the colonization of America, did they let you know about the genocide it was? When did you find out 100s of bloody dictatorships were founded by the US... did you ever? Once you've seen all this, can you actually believe what the "official" media has to say? Just wait 10 or 20 years. You may not know then either. Who knows what's up. 0 Share this post Link to post
Sharessa Posted September 12, 2002 Most people don't even know about the Iran-Contra scandal, the assassination attempts on Castro, the details about Beruit, or the rigging of the Lebanese election. EDIT: or worse yet, the truth about Columbus. 0 Share this post Link to post

Captain Red Posted September 12, 2002 <<<RANT ALERT>>> If two world wars, a few holocausts, and the detonation of two atomic bombs over civilian population centers (and that’s only in the last hundred years) hasn’t ‘brought unity’ to the human race, what makes you think the deaths of a few thousand people in a terrorist attack would? The fact it was on TV? Come on. I hasn’t really changed my perception of the world, all though it did make me realizes how fucking sick people can be. I’m not talking about the terrorists. I’m talking about the fucking maggots that decided to cuss and vandalize the homes and businesses belonging to anybody who was from a Middle Eastern background. I’m talking about the morons who decided to use it as an excuse to be full on racists, not just to Muslims, but any minority. To quote a certain priest (the name slips me):Now is the time to exile all homosexuals, blacks, Jews (among others) from our christen community… and finally in my own country, our own prime minister manage to convince all the morons in this contrary (who seem to make up the majority of the voting population) that terrorism and immigrants go hand in hand, then deciding to call an early election to take advantage of 9/11. So I guess 9/11 did change my view of the world. I used to think that people are morons. I now know that people are morons. <<<END RANT>>> 0 Share this post Link to post
Wobbo Posted September 13, 2002 Jerry Falwell, i think. Hes also winner of Moron of the year award by a lot of people for blaming liberals for the attacks by inviting god to kill us. im not joking "Liberty is the greatest gift we give to our people" -Tom Ridge Scary shit, our governments were an EXPRESSION of liberty before 9/11, but now theyre our MASTERS, who OFFER us liberty. Its truly disgusting how people in places of authority became egotistical idiots after this attack. 0 Share this post Link to post

fodders Posted September 15, 2002 KoolKat said:// me pukes Awright! Ive had enough of this "Osama's Evil" B.S.! Is there any confirmed source that everything is Osama Bin Laden's fault? Or that anything is? //me pukes thrice The Usama bin Laden videotape, found in Afghanistan, for its part, is said to provide chilling evidence that bin Laden knew of and helped plan the most devastating terrorist attacks in history. President Bush says the tape, found by the CIA in a house in Jalalabad, Afghanistan, proves bin Laden is "guilty of incredible murder." The tape, according to those who have seen it or read a transcript of its dialogue, shows bin Laden bragging to associates assembled at a meal that the devastation from the Sept. 11 attacks was much greater than he had expected. He also says that when an aide rushed in to tell him on Sept. 11 of radio reports of the first attack, he replied, "Wait, there will be more." Together, the Moussaoui indictment and the video constitute the best public proof that bin Laden was involved in the attacks. Until now, perhaps the most complete public evidence against bin Laden was a six-page summary available on British Prime Minister Tony Blair's 10 Downing Street website. That document offers a summary and facts for a case that concludes, "The attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, were planned and carried out by Al Qaeda, an organization whose head is Osama bin Laden." It also concludes the attacks could not have occurred without the assistance of the Taliban, Afghanistan's deposed government, which hosted Al Qaeda. 0 Share this post Link to post

GS-1719 Posted September 16, 2002 As this is supposed to be a remembrance thread, today - 16th September - I choose to remember the 20th anniversary of the massacre at the Sabra and Shatilla refugee camps in Palestine, where 3500 women, children and elderly people were killed by Israeli soldiers under the command of defence minister Ariel Sharon. 0 Share this post Link to post
Sharessa Posted September 16, 2002 That was one fucked up day indeed. I've heard horror stories coming out of that incident. Pretty much a pogrom. 0 Share this post Link to post

IMJack Posted September 17, 2002 This thread has taken a turn. A few turns, actually. Well, everyone's forgotten September 11 already. In the sense that the festivities for the "celebration" of the one-year anniversary are over with. Typical with holidays. Major deals like this always strike me as orgasmic: a gradual build-up of excitement and commercialism, leading to the event itself and all the spectacle and glory attached to it, and afterwards a rapidly dimming glow and a mess to clean up. You know what I'm saying? 0 Share this post Link to post
