The best Doom 1 maps

There is a really good E1 mapset called "Jared's Doom." https://www.doomworld.com/vb/wads-mods/71986-dtwid-my-version-of-episode-one-of-doom/

I feel there is genuine effort put into these maps. If you like E1 architecture and barrel frags, you'll like these maps. Map 7 has 62 barrels!

While dtwid:le has some very good stuff, it also has some of the very worst trash I've ever suffered through. That said, be sure to check out Mourning Halls on e4m6 as it's a masterwork of gameplay and atmosphere.

Yeah, that's a curious response. I'm halfway through E4 now, and I don't think there's been a map yet I haven't enjoyed.
