Downloading Duke3D user maps from Steam

Is there a way to download Duke3D user maps from Steam without having the Megaton Edition?
There are some user maps I want to download from their site, especially this one

Probably not, but the link implies the ModDB version is better anyway.

I'm a sucker for classic style maps, not mods.

I can't seem to find that version of the map anywhere else.

At least there are a buncha other cool maps to check out. You could always send him a message on steam, he might link you the map. He's still a community regular.

This is one thing I hate about steam, you need to own a steam version of a game just to download mods for it on steam even if you have an original non-steam copy of it, so you're forced to re-buy it.

The moddb "version" he links to is the Duke Nukem Forever 2013 MOD. Not a single map like OP is asking for.

I will have to say I did rather enjoy Duke Forever (2013). It was not bad. I even did a full playthrough of the mod recently on my Youtube channel. If you haven't played it, I'd say you should at least give it a go.

All you do is copy the workshop page link and then click download.

Wow that's pretty cool! Thanks for that, might save me having to upload workshop content.

Just tested it out and it works. Just make sure you hit "save as" and add ".zip" to the end of whatever file you are downloading.
