What's your favourite texture?

(note: this thread is meant to be serious, so don't just mindlessly say "FIREBLU! FIREBLU!")

My favourite texture is TEKGREN2 and it's varieties. It's quite cool-looking, clean and isn't as dark as most other metal textures. Ideal for a cool futuristic lab or something like that.

I hate FIREBLU.

SUPPORT3 without a doubt.

This may sound strange - but STARTAN3.

BROWNGRN

BROWN and it's variants and GSTONE.

Metal.

FIRELAVA is best.

BLACKWAL and MODWALL 3 & 4.

My favorites are probably COMP2 and COMPBLUE (from Doom 1) and PIPEWAL1/2 (from Doom 2).

STONE3

WOOD5 is cool.

FLAT1_1 , I always find good use for it <3 .

BSTONE2/3 + BRICK5

A texture batch I almost never use happens to be my favorite. The BRNSMALx series.

SP_HOT1 of course!

I LOVE BLUE TEXTURES.

From the original doom, however, COMPBLU SUPPORT3 gets my vote.

Man, it's hard to pick a favorite. I've always been partial to the TEKWALL series of textures though, even the goofy one sourced from a PCI card or motherboard (not sure which). It's the texture that I most associate with my early memories of Doom.

Hmm, METAL2 has always been a favourite of mine. Recently I've also been loving the Plutonia brick textures.

I really like STONGARG. It's quite ominous with all those grim mascarons arranged in diamond tiling.

Going to have to agree with Joe. BROWNGRN.

But to stir things up...another favorite of mine is any of the organic hell textures (the fleshy/boney ones).

yeah these. the soul wall. when i got to e3m3 for the first time, i spent minutes marveling at this trapped souls thing, so surreal.

The BIGDOOR textures. One of the things people instantly recognize/remember about Doom is the big doors and that signature sound they make.
