Arl Posted December 13, 2016 Hi all. Since I'm quite ignorant about the capabilities of cellphones nowadays, and google had not answer me anything yet, I wonder if you could iluminate me on this question. Occasionally I play Doom with a friend with his cellphones (his new one and his old one, mine does not run Doom Touch) using wifi, my question is: Is there a way to connect two cell phones via cable or something in order to not depend on wifi to play? Thank you in advance. 0 Share this post Link to post
Voros Posted December 14, 2016 Cables. Why cables? Wireless is better, isn't it? How do you even use cables on phones, other than for charging and accessories? If you can play using Wifi, then stick with it. Don't fix what ain't broke. 0 Share this post Link to post

Most of the time we are in places where there's no wifi, and traveling a couple of hours on a bus, so we thought that if we could find a way to play without wifi we could play Doom in those situations. 0 Share this post Link to post
Maes Posted December 14, 2016 Maaaaaybe with an ad-hoc TCP/IP connection over Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, if both phones have support for it. Smart phone ad hoc network A similar connection over USB cable is simply not supported by the majority of devices (assuming that you find a microUSB-to-microUSB cable, and both devices support Ethernet-on-USB or something). 0 Share this post Link to post
