Unfortunately , there are a very few that are being heavily showcased on WWE TV that could have a match with a mop.

The're are a lot of wrestlers in the WWE with huge potential. WWE just needs better booking.

absolutely agree with this.
I think when Triple H gets full control we'll see a massive shift in creative.

there's an old saying in wrestling how someone is "So good he can have a decent match with a mop". This is basically that. huge props if you can put on a show with a blow up doll.

But enough about my chaturbate profile.

I really hope so. Because I'd start watching WWE a lot more if Cena and Reigns took more of a back seat. I also hope that Gallows and Anderson get better booking as well.

Sucks to see a thread like this become dormant, so I'd like to revive it as I'm somewhat of a wrasslin' fan myself.

What's your all's opinion on WWE's current product? I think it's really improved since the pretty rough years of 2018/2019. Vince retiring and HHH and HBK taking over creative and talent development and all that is really helping the product. Wrestlemania this year was also awesome and I had alot of fun watching it.

Not into softcore gay porn rebranded as redneck soap operas, thanks. Hope you find some fellow fans, though!

This says a lot about what sort of person you are when you make comments like that.

Basically, an asshole. Which is ironic considering your current avatar and usertitle.

Hopefully you grew as a person in the roughly six years since this post.

I admittedly haven't watched in years, but from what I've heard, while Triple H is indeed cleaning house, several veterans (namely, Kurt Angle and someone else whose name is slipping my mind) are saying the only way Vince will truly be gone is once he's dead. As they've pointed out, he could simply be at home communicating with them via Zoom or whatever. Solves the problem nicely - Vince gets to call the shots, company looks like it got rid of him, everyone wins.

So basically, I'll believe that it's changing up when we see significant directional changes in how things are run. Maybe we'll get back to them being called wrestlers. Maybe we'll get back to having angles that have actual build time. Maybe we won't be force-fed the champions they want. When it starts actually surprising us instead of force-feeding, when they let guys develop their character like they did back in the 80s and 90s instead of sticking to the script, then maybe I'll tune in now and again.

It's all a work, brother, but some people are better at making it a work than others. Vince really hasn't had that since arguably Hulkamania - The New Generation was historically awful, Attitude was heavily influenced by Vince Russo (both for better and for worse), Ruthless Aggression was basically Hulkamania 2.0, and by the time that fizzled out the product had become so sterilized that it's no wonder competition kept being successful (which was a good thing, because the WWF stagnated hard once WCW was bought out).

Throw in all sorts of old boys hanging out in the back (Laurinaitis until Vince was gone, how does Kevin Dunn still have a job, etc.) and it all just basically became ironically someone just out of touch with the times. The one good thing they've done over all those years is actually take women's wrestling seriously and pushed some of those girls to the moon - something you otherwise only see in Japanese joshi puroresu promotions.

Drew McIntyre (one of the bigger guys on the main roster ATM) did a pretty good promo in which he kinda called out the dumb "sports entertainment" BS a week or so ago on Raw. Have a watch.

Promo part starts at 2:09

Vince was pretty insistent on the whole "it's not pro wrestling it's sports entertainment they're not wrestlers they're superstars" thing. I hope this promo is some of HHH's influence stepping in.

I hope so too. I'll believe it when it lasts for more than a few weeks and we see how it is six or twelve months out.

If they're still talking like that then and building in the direction I said above, then it is indeed entirely possible that Vince McMahon has no power over the thing anymore. But it's easy to do this stuff for a few months, then once the headlines and attention dies back down, go right back.

PS: Love the very subtle (and seemingly unnoticed by the crowd) quote that Owens did of Owen Hart there. That brought a smile to my face.

I've loved wrestling since I was about 6 years old. The current WWE show is a sad shadow of it's former self. I hope now with HHH in charge that will change over time.

I love AEW at the min. Big mark for CM Punk.
