Kill Mastermind Spider with BFG on TAS?

Its hard to kill Mastermind Spider with one shot BFG on TAS. They still stay alive... on Zdoom is easy to kill.
Can someone tell me a tricks to kill this spider easy?

They are bigger in ZDoom.

Ok solved problem. I had just made big damage and after that shot them x4 with supershotgun.

No, they aren't bigger. In fact they even used to be smaller; radius 128 is the vanilla value.

The real reason is that ZDoom fixes various collision detection bugs. In vanilla, several of your BFG traces will go through the spider harmlessly, like ghost bullets.

Gez: yeah, I meant MAPBLOCKUNITS #define in vanilla, which equals to 128 (but spider's "diameter" is 256).
