Not record for Plutonia MAP01 in NM100%S

pl01xs038.zip

EDIT:

Question: I am trying to keep recording through the MAP02, but it quits before I enter to the map. I guess this is because I put -warp 1... Is there any way to fix this or should I make it again ?

It's not because of using -warp.

When you use -recordfromto, you can join the game at any time by pressing a keybind, seems like the default is "Q". To change the bind look for "Join" under Options > Setup > Key Bindings > Demos (6th page).

Alien's Vendetta MAP11 NM100%S

About the stx-Vile's demo, my goal really isn't a perfect demo talking about time, I just like to do hard tasks to do in normal speedruns in a way that it is nice to watch.

Hiya. Just wanted to say I enjoyed watching this, especially as it seems quite well optimised. I know the point of SF is to Max rather than Speed, but having played this WAD a lot, I enjoyed the entertainment. I look forward to the finished product.

@Degree23, thank you! :)

The first 20 maps really go quick (except Maps 13,14 and 18 :P ), but after that the maps get bigger and "slower" haha, let's see.

I will try to finish it, but I can't guarantee it. It'll probably take me a couple more months, mainly because i am lazy and slow lol :D

A TAS only trick I found for plutonia, The Death Domain (map 20). The teleporter at the outside area takes you to the top part inside the building by the arachnotrons, which would skip half the map. The teleporter has a height of 25 units, while 24 units is the highest you can climb. Fortunately there is an 8 unit high ledge by the blue key door, the distance between them is 32x4 units in the Y direction, and 32 units in the X direction. There are 4 tics where you need doomguys 32x32 unit hitbox to go from one ledge to the other, and this is possible, see demo.

Also much easier to achieve using a boost against a monster with the RJ, but pretty much impossible still outside of TAS. Took quite some time to get this, so I strongly doubt there is some easy setup for non-TAS.

Oh, nice. Glad I recorded a nomo now, rather than a really ugly speed. Funny. I thought of an archie jump, but only into the slime (useless, of course).

Your route is not so difficult non-TAS, actually. I did a 06.49 in a very short recording session, but may try to improve.

Yeah sure. i did get a 7 second run but I'd say 5 (or even 4) seconds should be the optimal non-tas time.

tnt map 19, void glide of a west facing 90 degree corner (e2m6 is facing east), using only run forward (MF50), skipsec 60.

I need to do a somewhat long jump in the void, so I needed to grab the rocket launcher, but as can be seen here this would definitely save time in a d2all\ep2 tas.
