does anyone know where i can get a mod for the bfg2704 that i can use with zdoom?

it's not possible yet to do one with zdoom. however, it's very possible to do it with EDGE....

It's impossible with both of those.

You can make enemies shoot something like it in just about any source port.

This is about as close as you are going to get to having the BFG 2704 in the Original Doom. Just go to the options menu > weapons and locate the BFG types, select BFG 2704 and enjoy :)
