I used to pronounce it like "Lin-goo-ick-uh", but now I pronounce it like "Lin-gwee-kuh".

EDIT: The package also says "Silva", but I now pronunce Silva as "See-vuh", just because of SiIvagunner.

Well, I'm wondering if Ling actually decided not to use the cedilla to make it easier to type over the years, or didn't know the ASCII code wayyy early on. I know he's a smart one so I doubt that, but anyway. It could be actually an "s" sound so we'd have to defer to the man himself on how he pronounces it.

I don't think it's that big a deal. In another thread he himself admitted that he heard the word somewhere, thought it was funny, and used it as his username.

Boy, I wonder if anyone would have taken him seriously as an admin if he chose that name.
