Fish avatars?

What's with them? I think some of them are pretty cool IMO. What's the story behind them? Macvilewhore has the best one I think

I dunno if that is correct. IIRC, it started with mewse using a fish avatar. The mewse is great, ph33r the mewse, worship the mewse, feed the mewse alcohol.

I like mine, mainly because I made it myself.

I like my fishy avatar. It's lizardcommando, except he's been turned into a fish.

Recipe on how to make a fish avatar

Utensils: A postcount on 250, a decent drawing program that supports GIF images, half-decent skills within aforementioned drawing program.

1. Right click on a fish avatar of your choice on the DW forums and select “Save image as” – save the image to a hard drive directory of your choice.

2. Fire up drawing program and open the file you just saved.

3. Zoom in to the closest view of the image in the drawing program so that you can clearly see each individual pixel.

4.You may edit the file as you please adding whatever to it that you may wish.

Advice: You may save some additional fish avatars (preferably the ones that are more advanced) to your hard drive and open them in your drawing program for you to see how the individual pixels in these avatars are manipulated – that way you can learn from it and be able to do an even better job on your own fishy.
