2013 era Macbook Pro 13"

Same. Oh no wait, mine is early 2015 (and retina).

I'm thinking of switching back to Linux at my next work hardware refresh, which is due in March. The latest Thinkpad T470 (or T470s) looks really nice, and by March there might be a T480s. My main concern is the Linux ecosystem and how I interact with it. I've found myself much better at 'Getting things done' on a Mac, partially because I hit fewer bugs as I go, but also because I feel less of an obligation to diagnose, debug, report or even attempt to fix those bugs. When I first switched I realised I'd spent a lot of time on busy-work with the Linux desktop, where I was spending (wasting?) time with it or on it almost for its own sake, and the time I was spending using a Mac was time spend achieving other things. Now it's possible that some of that change of attitude will survive in a switch back to Linux but I'm not sure, and I would lose some time trying to get a desktop environment configured the way I want and similar such things.

Different models use different things. The 13" rMBP was Intel (as you can see), the current 13" is all Intel, the 15" is hybrid Intel/Radeon.

Laptop: Acer Aspire 7745g (I think)

CPU: Intel first gen i5 460m 2,53 GHz

GPU: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 (it also has Intel HD, but that is rubbish)

Hard drive: 750 GB Western Digital Blue (now I have around 160 GB free)

RAM: 4 GB

OS: Windows 7 (my trusty OS)

Also, did Macbooks not use AMD processors, because they didn't support them? A friend of mine wanted to install Hackintosh in his PC, but he had an FX 6300, so it didn't work.
