Does anybody know if the code that brings Office 365 Personal Physical edition is permanent or has a date of expiry if not used?

365 has a expiry date counting from installation date, usage does not affect the period i think

Office keys don't expire if you don't use them. If they did it would turn all those cards on the rack at WorstBuy into trash and hurt Microsoft's image.
