See if anything here fancies your interest. They are what is all that remain that I downloaded from a website titled "Laura's MIDI Heaven".

I found a 51,000 song midi archive the other day and have found a couple of pretty good songs in it so far, a lot of generic piano pieces to wade through though... here is the link

There is also a zip file I have with some community midis from various authors and projects, I got the link from somewhere on here but I don't remember where sadly, anyway here is a link to it on my google drive

How do I listen to your google drive midis? They show up without file endings

Hmmm, well they aren't mine per se since like I said they are community midis that were originally uploaded by someone else, but I have 2 possible explanations as to why some of them (but not all) don't have extensions

1. The ones without extensions are MUS files and not midi, or

2. The person who put the song in the wad it was taken from removed the extension so adding .mid to the end should work assuming they are actually midis and not mus

I can then only assume they are *.mus because I tried adding .mid and it errored out. Thanks !

Edited by NeedHealth : theres no i in mid

This looks like Glaice's compilation he put up in another thread like this a couple of weeks ago

@NeedHealth: If you download and extract the zip and manually add .mid to the end of the filenames (there may be a way to do this in bulk), I assume they should work. If I remember rightly, the compilation doesn't contain too many MUS files, but those can be converted to MIDI in slade 3.

You'll probably need to add .mus to the file extension so that SLADE reads it as such - but just because it wasn't complicated enough yet, not everything in that compilation without a file extension was a MUS - take the BTSX and Ancient Aliens soundtracks for example, those are plain MIDIs. They've been ripped out of their WADs but when you do this you have to have the filename as *ignored*.mid

Might be quicker to just open said PWADs in SLADE and extract them yourself to be honest.

I don't want to hijack the thread any but i was about to post something really similiar, i was looking for some more ambient/atmospheric midis but wasn't having much luck.
