RileyXY1 Posted December 2, 2017 (edited) Retribution Dawns is a new WAD that I am working on. This wad attempts to have the levels be interconnected. Therefore, you can see parts of previous levels in the levels. A sixteen level demo has been released. This demo also features one secret level. RileyXY1 Posted September 27, 2018 This wad is still very much alive. A demo featuring six more levels is on the way. 1 Share this post Link to post
elend Posted September 27, 2018 Oh very good. Just saw this for the first time and the concept of this interconnectedness between levels seems interesting. 0 Share this post Link to post

Also, the most impressive thing about this wad is that it's a vanilla doom wad. Edited October 2, 2018 by RileyXY1 0 Share this post Link to post
meapineapple Posted October 18, 2018 I recorded a playthrough of this WAD. The visual appearance of the maps doesn't seem to have gotten a lot of attention, and except for perhaps map 9 none of it was particularly challenging. Unless the maps were meant to be pistol started? It certainly would have been a lot harder if I didn't play continuously. It didn't seem like that was the intention, though. I did have fun playing, and I do like the idea of revisiting areas from previous maps. I'm looking forward to seeing what else you do with the idea! 0 Share this post Link to post

RileyXY1 Posted February 7, 2019 (edited) Unfortunately for me, the folder I keep my Doom WADS in became corrupted and unusable. Some of my WADs survived (because the original ZIP Files were in another folder). The Ultimate Doom is the only IWAD I have left. So, I am deciding to scrap everything I have done so far and I will remake the WAD with The Ultimate Doom as the IWAD, as opposed to Doom 2. Edit: As it turns out, I have Doom 2 on a disk. Crisis averted. Edited February 7, 2019 by RileyXY1 0 Share this post Link to post
RileyXY1 Posted July 4, 2020 I am set to consider reviving this WAD and continue work for the fourth demo. 0 Share this post Link to post
