dsdacon 2018

Hello there.

This year, we are going to try to get a lot of doom runners in one place to meet, hang out, fill all the coop tables, etc.  For convenience, and because it also makes sense, we will piggyback on the esa marathon (european speedrunner assembly).  The dates have been announced recently: July 20th - July 29th 2018.  The meetup is in Malmö, Sweden (on the coast, just east of Copenhagen).  I'm putting this out there early so that people have time to organize their schedules and/or finances, and I will update with more information once it's available (tickets, housing, etc).

Let me know if you're interested to give me an idea of how many people would come.  It's going to happen no matter what, but if there are enough of us then we can print some shirts and such as well.

Update February 20th:

We're going to target the first weekend, Friday July 20th - Sunday July 22nd.  You can of course stay for as long as you want - esa is a speedrunning event that runs the whole week, and there surely will be plenty of people to meet and things to do.  But, since most people won't opt for this, try to schedule for those dates to maximize the number of people we have together at once.

Submissions for ESA open today and run until march 10th.  If you are interested in doing a run live on the stream, please consider submitting.

That's winter, I guess there might not be any tickets for the summer one yet.

The winter one is earlier, in February.  Exact details aren't available for summer yet afaik, so I will update when they are.

I watched the Scythe run. It was fun, but sadly it's very short.
