That"s easy with GZDB or GZDB-BF:

• Shift+Mousewheel adjusts the number of points
• CTrl+Mousewheel adjusts the inner radius

Funnily enough, that's one of the things that was easier to do in oldschool DEU, along with automatic staircases.
