beast Posted April 18, 2018 This is my fourth map, tech-base styled but with Doom II monsters thrown in. Requires doom2.wad and a limit-removing port like PrBoom+. A play-through lmp recording is included. Brutal feedback is welcome! screenshots Spoiler delta.zip 2 Share this post Link to post
baja blast rd. Posted April 18, 2018 Not bad. FDA. Traps that actually attempt to do damage are generally not something I expect from this genre. The six window shutter chaingunners are pointless imo. The teleporter lines were a nice way of sprucing up the dual baron fight. 0 Share this post Link to post
Memfis Posted April 18, 2018 Very good lighting on these pictures, nice contrasts! 2 Share this post Link to post
beast Posted April 19, 2018 Great FDA thanks @rdwpa. The chaingunners room seems to be the weak spot, something I need to be conscious about more often. 0 Share this post Link to post

PeterMoro Posted April 19, 2018 Just played it. It's pretty good and fun for a Doom homage- style map. If it wasn't going for that kind of vibe, i would have hoped for more detailing. I liked the stairs and how the lighting gradually changed and the imp ambush. Also the switch you have to shoot on the critical path was neat. Getting the Light Amplification Goggles secret was a bit too difficult, spent a lot of time trying to figure out this last secret. Overall, good balance of difficulty / monster fights / health / ammo spread. A Spectre or two in the first secret courtyard would have fit nicely. It was a bit too short for my liking, an extra 5 mins would have been nice, but that's just me. The overall sense of fun and action to the level was totally on point. Please make more! Cheers. 1 Share this post Link to post
