What is the worst ever...

I've seen hundreds of "best ever" threads before, but what I rarely see are "worst ever" threads. Therefore I've made this one. Without further ado, what is the worst example of the following you've ever seen/heard:

1) TV Show

2) Film

3) Song

4) PC game

5) Console game


For 1) I'd have to say Coronation Street, which is beyond cheesy, irritating and tacky even for a soap. I'll give my other opinions later, but first I'd like to see what others have to say...

Hmmm....

1. Something called "Temptation Island". (I consider myself lucky that I'm spared from some of the trash I hear that they show in the USA)

2. Titanic (I HATE sad movies).

3. Most songs that involve a singer that pollutes the already bad music with his/her singing - typically songs involving romance and love.

4. Championship Manager - I think that was the name of that shitty game where you were a Soccer manager that were to organize Soccer teams into lists. FUCK! What a boring game - I'm surprised that someone would ever make something like THAT into a game. Damn Football fanatics that make shit like that possible.

5. No idea - I don't touch console games anymore.

1) Propably some talk show like Jerry Springer or some action TV like RealTV.

2) Hmm, I don't watch many films and I forget about the bad one's so nothing comes to my mind...

3) Britney Spears: I'm a slave 4u

4) Sports games and football games.

5) Same as 4

Absolutely nothing. Everything fucking ROCKS.

1 - There is so much filth on TV, it's practically impossible to pick out any one thing over another to be the absolute worst.
2 - Speed 2. If you see a plane fly head first at near top speed into a pole on a ship and stay there, you know there's something seriously wrong here. Unfortunately, this happens near the end of the movie, so you'll have to endure most of the movie before seeing this. Plan 9 From Outer Space. Boris Karloff's last movie. He died in the middle of the filming and was replaced by some guy who covered his face by a cape. Throw in bad special effects (even in those days) like wobbling tire rims for space ships flying around dangling from clearly visible strings, and you'll see why this won the Golden Turkey award for being the absolute worst movie.
3 - Macarena. 'Nuff said...
4 - Not sure. I haven't played very many bad ones.
5 - ET for the Atari 2600. This gem destroyed Atari and is widely regarded as the cause of the video game market crash of 1984 and plunged video games into the dark ages, which ended with the release of the NES. Pac-Man for the Atari was a real stinker, but it doesn't come close to this specatular disaster of a game.

I would already like to see some iron claws of damnation here...

Man, that movie is a lot of fun to watch, which makes it better than tons of other movies.

5. The Tick...ARRRRRGH!!! Stupid thing had no savegame feature, but it did have ~40 levels of repetitive ninja turtles style gameplay. I stayed up all night once trying to beat that, and i died.

the worst movies are the ones that don't offer anything for anyone.
boring dramas that are painfully slow.
there is a difference between being bad technically(plan 9) and being a bad movie.
ET for the Atari and the Macarena both inflicted equal amounts of pain onto my cerebral cortex. :)

My worst ever:

1) TV Show - Oprah Winfrey

2) Film - Police Academy 1 to 452

3) Song - Everything NuMetal

4) PC game - Too many to mention

5) Console game - Too many to mention

1. Popstars, Poptars rivals, Fame Academy - all reality shows that spawn music/tv 'stars' with nothing but sex appeal. (soaps come a close second)

2. One that I haven't watched. (probably in the romantic slush category)

3. Manufactured pop/rnb - brainless crap featuring talentless (but good-looking) people, who then get to no.1 purely on PR.

4. Sports (player and manager) sims. (all you do is run around the same pitch/court, or watch the action from afar without being able to control it directly. They also get out of date after one season)

5. All of today's games (they boast nothing but good graphics and a short lifespan, while costing a fortune).

1) Any kind of candid camera show. It break out in cold fucking sweat whenever I see them... Probably cause it's about robbing people from their dignity, or the price of goat's milk, or whatever.

2) Virtually everything that comes out of Hollywood these days. Clichéd, but true.

3) Ricky Martin and Celine Dion give me sphinxter cramps.

4) Deer Avenger.

5) Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure on the NES. Primarily because I rented it once when I was eight years old and I couldn't even figure the menu system out. Worst €2 I ever spent.

OK, I'll take this to mean really bad things that have for some reason been popular (rather than things that were really atrocious and got ignored).

1) TV Show: either Pop Idol or Big Brother. I won't say any more about them because I'd just start swearing. A lot.

2) Film: The Thin Red Line. Not so much because it was a thoroughly bad film (the action scenes were rather good), but because it wandered aimlessly, and couldn't seem to decide whether to be a ponderous anti-war film or an action flick. Basically it got my attention, and then wasted my time and irritated me. Perhaps there were some creative disputes at director/producer level, I dunno.

3) Song: Something by Wham, especially from their early years. Probably Young Guns (Go for it). Yeuch. Blah.

4) PC game: Not sure. Most of the action games I've bought have been ones I've liked (and played demos beforehand). The South Park games had little merit beyond animating the characters, but were still kind of fun for the real fans. OK, I'll plump for "Kasparov's Gambit" - crappily cut down from superior products with lousy graphics and sound added on.

5) Console game: I've never used a console. Worst arcade game would be Miss Nude World, or whatever it was called.

1)TV-Show. This one's tough. Should i attack the soaps for the millions of retarded people who don't just watch them, but believe they're real... or should i tear at 'Popstar'-type shows that manufacture bands like sickeningly-sweet chocolate that, like, you know, kills you on the first bite?

Coronation St it is.

2)Fil-Lem... hmmm. 'Bless the Child'. That was the most pathetic, anticlimaxing, not-at-all-scary piece of shit masquerading as a chiller/horror i've ever seen. Director, cast and crew should be lined up and SHOT.

3)Song : 'My Heart Will Go On' by Celine 'Scruff in expensive clothing' Dion. It's like the musical equivalent of cyanide.

4)PC Game; Easy - 'Force Commander'. Crap interface, disgusting graphics (stormtroopers look like snowmen?)... and how DARE they replace the orchestral Star Wars soundtrack with guitars? BASTARDS!

5)Console Game... 'Rise of the Robots'. 'Realistic CGI Animation'? I've done flick-book animations with stickmen that were more convincing. Absolutely fucking awful. I contracted visual herpes after the first fight.

That's right. It was Bela Legosi. I always seem to confuse the two.

And as for Plan 9 From Outer Space being bad, it's bad, but in a funny kind of way, not intolerable like a lot of movies today. One thing is certain, if I were to make a movie (which will never happen), it would be a whole lot worse than that.

1) TV Show : I hate stupid reality shows (exept for the osbournes), soaps, religious programs (my favourite hynms, morning worship etc)

2) Film : the worst films i have ever seen was....Grease, dracula 2000, and even though i havn't seen it (and don't intend to) pearl harbour; mostly because they used the music from a clasic film.

3) Song : any stupid manufactured band song, in other words, pop songs

4) PC game : Redneck rampage! I kinda like it but it can be very confusing (especially if you have to much to drink)

5) Console game : Doom on the Jaguar, oh my god, that console ruined all the great games :(

Grease! There's no reason to call that thing the worst movie ever if you use your sense of humor just a bit.

1) i'd have to go with alot of others on this, reality TV shows....what garbage, that and a music televison station that has become overrun with trendy reality and reality based shows and game-shows...blah! And WB doesn't have much good to offer, cept teen-soap operas and the like, oh yeah soap-operas, move really really slow, you can miss a month of watching and still pick up right where you left off, not that i've watched them or anything ;)

2) bad Films, Well AI was terrible because it was based on such a out-dated fairy-tale concepted that persisted into ridiculous rather than sympathy, and dragged on painfully...Lancelot at the lake was a poorly acted french movie which ended apruptly with the sounds of assailing arrows hitting armor then flashed to a pile of bodys, everyones dead now, then static...truly dreadful since the credits rolled unendlessly at the beginning of the movie. The Wiz Kid...anyone seen this movie? it's British so I'm sure, but essentially this kid makes a clone of himself to be cool which romances his mother, teaches him about life and then he sends it off to see the world...what a waste, at least the last 2 were entertaining in their awfulness, i could go on and on about others here....

3) That everyone should wear sunscreen, song, I could not stand it- everytime it came on I thought I was listening to a commercial, it's not a song! And that graduation song everyone like so much was just annoying to me, the one by Vitamin C...many others, mostly pop and easy listening which i can't stand.

4)Hmmm...that's a tough one, can't think of any. Dungeon master for PC was pretty terrible,

3)Let's see, anything sports related i don't get into but for truly horrible games, there was some game that was like doom with clouds and animals, it was pretty lame...don't remember the name. Lost World for playstation was a scroller, it was obscenely hard. Some demos i played sucked, but i can't recall names, guess that's about it. Oh yeah, Back to the Future 2 on the NES was a crappy game and so was the first one.

I am guessing you are think of Linkin Park, a band that have been accused of being manufactured but are in fact NOT! as to other "Rock" could you please name some? the type of metal i listen to certainly arn't manufactured but i am curious to know which are!

other bad things compaq computers(too many problems), squirrels(cause more damage to enviroment than any other wild animal) omikron, (badly made game, good idea and story, but filled with bugs) playstation 2( badly built hardware) Imacs, (just plain dumb idea only good for word processors), pirceing of private parts( why the fuck would u...?) toco bell (there food is full of parasites and bacteria. I have had food poisoning from them twice and so have many others) pokemon (ok for kids but they went too far on this one) beany babies (i would rather see real babies full of beans, these things were plane lame)

Yeah. A lot of people don't realize that Linkin Park was on MP3.com for years before they ever got a CD published. The original name of the band was used as the name for their first album, "Hybrid Theory". Other bands have done similar things - the Chemical Brothers' first album after they changed their name from "The Dust Brothers" (to avoid possible conflict with the REAL Dust Brothers was "Exit Planet Dust".
