What song does describe you?

Recommended Posts

Hello, I'm once again here with another topic, this time related to music.

I would like to know what song(s) describe you, generally or in part.

By my side I need to think on one, as I think there may be a bit too much I feel they 'tell' what or who I am.

The obvious answer would be my own music since it comes from me :-P  This one in particular has always felt more personal than others, though:

Outside of my own music, this one also tends to be quite "me" as well, at least on not-so-great days:

This is also me and an incredibly important song to me personally:

Spoiler

Even within the midst of flowing time,
Look, indifference still goes round and round
As for me, my heart has separated from me
I can't see it Is it true I don't know?
Even if I don't move,
I continue to be lengthened in the cracks of time
I don't understand the rotation
I am me That's it

Am I seeing a dream? Am I seeing nothing?
Are the words that I'm speaking useless?
I'm just tired of the sadness
"Feeling nothing" is best
Even if I were to speak these bewildering words,
My heart is just the upper sky
What if I was able to move
Everything would return and I'd turn it black

Would this me exist in the future?
Do I exist in this world?
Am I oppressed now? Am I sad now?
I still don't know anything about me
Even when walking, I'm just tired of it
So how would I care for other people
If this me were to be able to change,
If I were to change, would I turn white?

Even within the midst of flowing time,
Look, indifference still goes round and round
As for me, my heart has separated from me
I can't see it Is it true I don't know?
Even if I don't move,
I continue to be lengthened in the cracks of time
I don't understand the rotation
I am me That's it

Am I seeing a dream? Am I seeing nothing?
Are the words that I'm speaking useless?
I'm just tired of the sadness
"Feeling nothing" is best
Even if I were to speak these bewildering words,
My heart is just the upper sky
What if I was able to move
Everything would return and I'd turn it black

Is this time pointless? Is there a future?
Do I exist in a place like this?
If I were to hurt,
Then the words would be: "good for nothing"
Do I exist in a place like this?
Do I exist in a time like this?
If this me were to be able to change,
If I were to change, would I turn white?

Am I seeing a dream? Am I seeing nothing?
Are the words that I'm speaking useless?
I'm just tired of the sadness
"Feeling nothing" is best
Even if I were to speak these bewildering words,
My heart is just the upper sky
What if I was able to move
Everything would return and I'd turn it black

If I were to move, if I were to move,
Then I'd break everything, Then I'd break everything
If I were to be sad, if I were to be sad,
Would my heart change to white?

About you, about me,
About everything—I still don't know a thing
If my emotional eyelids were to open,
Then I'd break everything Let it all turn to black!!!

Those songs sure are interesting, and must describe ya nicely!

By my side, I am doubtful on my songs, out of the edgy artwork I hear like Must Die or SMT Nocturne's Fierce Battle.

So, thinking a bit more I found out what can help me.

This can say what I am most possibly.

And there's also Last Train from Co Shu Nie but the one that will be on this list, due to how I feel listening to it and the similarities I have with it:

I can't think of a song that describes unfathomable idiocy, so have this in the meantime:

Like Yuki above, I make music myself, so the closest thing to music that describes me is my own music, in particular this tune from 2015:

Outside my own musical misadventures, I'm surprisingly hard-pressed to name a song that describes me. Although now that I think about it, the range of different styles I listen to does say something about my personality. I have an open mind and love new discoveries, be it a musical genre, a place in the world or a field of interest - and I like to think that my diverse taste in music reflects that.

That's pretty cool man! I also love to discover new stuff, a Reason why I would like to travel around the world someday.

And by the way, I also make my own music but I'm uh... kind of new to that world.

There's more (and much deeper) songs that say a thing or two about me tbh, but my mind is almost completely empty for some odd reason right now, so for the time being, some Emperor and their vision should do.

No song really describes me. However, this was the first song that came to mind:

Emperor may not have been as personal as I would've liked, but Immolation's "I Feel Nothing" certainly is.

I'm slowly compiling a soundtrack for a hypothetical biographic film. The next piece of music would be for my discovery and life-long obsession with Doom, to the point where it becomes almost spiritual.
