SC-55 music packs for Gzdoom?

Recommended Posts

How do I get the SC-55 music packs working with Gzdoom? I've looked on several sites and sources and still have yet to figure out how to get it working. I'm sure its a very simple process, but I'm still not sure how. Note that I have tried many of the methods that people have stated.

Extract the downloaded file into a specific folder

There could be several scenarios, for example

1. For the IWAD:

Open Slade3 and make a new Wad Archive

File - New - New Wad Archive

Drag and drop all music files into the New Wad Archive.

Save the newly created Wad Archive, for example NewMusic.wad.

Drag NewMusic.wad onto the GZDoom icon

2. Music separate from a PWAD

You need to know which music plays in which map

You need to know which maps are in the PWAD

Open Slade3 and make a new Wad Archive

File - New - New Wad Archive

Drag and drop the specific music file(s) into the New Wad Archive.

Save the newly created Wad Archive, for example NewMusic.wad.

Drag the PWAD and NewMusic.wad onto the GZDoom icon

3. Load the music into a PWAD

You need to know which music plays in which map

https://doomwiki.org/wiki/Doom_II_music

Open the PWAD with Slade3

Append  (drag and drop) the music file(s) below all lumps in  the PWAD.

Do not drop them in between the namespace lumps.

Save the PWAD.

Drag the PWAD onto the GZDoom icon
