ProtoKermit Posted August 16, 2018 Been looking into buying one of the console versions of Quake. Found most of the differences between the N64 and Sega Saturn version EXCEPT for the music. I'm aware that the N64 version has different tracks from the PC version, but does the saturn port have different music too? Anyone know? 0 Share this post Link to post
Deleted_Account Posted August 17, 2018 (edited) Aubrey Hodges did the music for Quake and Quake II on the N64. Quake on the Sega Saturn uses the music from the PC version composed by Trent Reznor. 0 Share this post Link to post
indigotyrian Posted August 17, 2018 The Quake 64 music is interesting since Hodges just recycled game sounds as instruments. Listen to this, you can hear pickup noises, doors opening and closing, and grenade bounces. 0 Share this post Link to post
SiFi270 Posted August 17, 2018 Saturn Quake does add one new song from Methods of Destruction, an alternate soundtrack by Sonic Mayhem that got id's attention, which also lead to them doing the official soundtracks for Quake II and III. 0 Share this post Link to post
