$100 for >=100% - Doom 2 demo challenge

This is a neat challenge because you can be creative in how you approach it. Everyone is gonna beat my time, but it was nice to have a go anyway :3

This sounds fun so I did one, please someone beat this.

Oh god, Ling just can't tolerate the cash thing and make an "official" challenge. The rules are way more interesting than getting 100% item for a stupid map with a time limit. Will definitely try to do one when I have time.

@Linguica Is it limited to one submission per demo author?

No. I wish there was a way to encourage more demos in general given that Ancalagon just dropped a huge gauntlet immediately.

Am I right in thinking all of these attempts are invalid because the final %s don't add up to 100? Or did I misunderstand the rules?

Edit: I'm an idiot, the rules said at least 100, not exactly 100. Never mind!

To be fair, I beat Anc's score by a mere 1 second. Call it a competitive karma.

Memfis and throwing shade. Not an unexpected combo.  

Bunch of attempts ended with 95-99%. For an ok time I think it is fine to rely on an outlier attempt in this challenge. 

Intrigued, I must say... What did I miss?

By the way, for challenges like this, are tool-assist submissions allowed, expected, discouraged - disclosed or not? I only ask because it would seem like originality might help bring submissions to the top (TAS itself is no longer 'original', but an interesting category of their own).

Hm, I apologize if my comment sounded bad, I was actually trying to express amazement. When I tried Dime's route, I usually needed like 50 seconds to get 100%, so I think it's crazy that he got such a good time with it.

The cool part about your demo Memfis, I was theorycrafting what might be a superior route to mine and thought that up midday hitting up the BFG afterwards letting the pinkies roll out.

Heh, I had a bit more fun with this than I'd like to admit.  I plateaued at 43 (I stole memfis' path to get the 43).  Here's a pile of each "personal best" in one zip, for sake of completeness.

I kinda wish the bluekey bottleneck wasn't there so you could go wild with exploring the other would-be viable options, but pretty cool anyways.
