𝕲𝖗𝖊𝖊𝖓𝖙𝖎𝖌𝖊𝖗1 Posted October 30, 2018 (edited) DEICE to reintegrate the files WOLF.EXE to uncompress the files WOLF3D.EXE to run the game Otherwise I would suggest rebuying it again at GOG.com Edited October 30, 2018 by greentiger 0 Share this post Link to post
memes4lyfe Posted October 30, 2018 okay. what about the sequel "spear of destiny"? does it also have an "install.bat" file on it? 0 Share this post Link to post
TheUltimateDoomer666 Posted November 1, 2018 There were multiple releases of Wolfenstein 3D, which might contain different installation files. There are the original mail-order floppies from Apogee. Then there was a retail release by GT Interactive (Apogee had nothing to do with this one). And in Australia there was a retail release distributed by Manaccom. The id Stuff version of Wolf3D (included in a locked form on some Quake discs) definitely comes with an install.bat file. I have a big box CD-ROM copy of Spear of Destiny. The disc does not include an install.bat, but it does have an install.exe. Also, trying to find original games' installation files on abandonware sites (which aren't legal anyway) is obviously not very helpful, as you found out. 0 Share this post Link to post
