doom but when doomguy was like 5 years old, in which all enemies are toys of some kind and you go around blasting them with your bottle and other wacky weaponry!

Narcos-themed mod:

inspired by the Netflix series, it's a 20-level wad, where you play as either a DEA agent or a Search Bloc-inspired soldier. levels range from shanty towns and slums to large cities, eventually ending up deep in the jungle where you get to blow up cocaine labs and bust the whole drug operation.

 

Doomed or Alive:

basically the H-Doom mod, but made into a fighting game.

This topic is about stupid mods, not good mods. But i like it nonetheless.

 

Stupid Idea:

Implement Far Cry 2 style realism. Weapons degrade(become less efficient) over time and they have to be repaired or replaced. Player suffers from a demonic disease and requires a health pickup after every few minutes otherwise he would go blind and die. Player also needs health pickup to stop bleeding after being injured.

A mod, where the monsters can pick up powerups, health and armor, and the zombies can pick up the weapons and use against the player.

Why not go the full mile and turn Doom into a battle royale game, all the zombies and demons are now just skins.

It might not sound stupid at all but there's this mod idea that I have been thinking for a long time, it's called Rod Racing, a mod for Heretic. It is a racing mod which uses the Phoenix Rod.

 

Here are changes for the Phoenix Rod for this mod:

-Make its rate of fire super fast. If you have used the Phoenix Rod before in Heretic, you'll notice that every time you shoot it, you will get a small amount of knockback. Now if you make this weapon a rapid-firing weapon, it could send you flying fast backwards.

-The weapon has an infinite amount of ammo and you probably know the reason why.

-The weapon deals no damage at all to players.

-The weapon's explosion knockback is removed to prevent players from using it boost their speed and to push players with it.

-

 

Some other changes and additions:

-The mod is played in third person and the camera is facing the player's front side.

-There will be items floating around in race tracks that you can pick up and use against opponents or giving yourself an advantage.

-Monsters can now be killed by bumping into them while using the Phoenix Rod.

-You cannot select any other weapon than the Phoenix Rod.

-If possible, there will be a mini-map on the top right of your HUD to display the map.

 

There are also maps in Hexen or UDMF format (race tracks) that would be made specifically for the mod.

- He covers his eyes whenever he uses the plasma gun, so the screen has to turn black every time he fires it.

 

Or he could be clumsy with other things, such as:

- Sometimes he accidentally puts the key in the slot backwards, so there has to be a short period of time where he re-aligns it.

- Sometimes trips when running up stairs. Causes him to stutter and also interrupts him from shooting or reloading.

    - He could also slip sometimes when treading on liquids.

    - Maybe as an optional thing, but he can also trip on fallen enemies sometimes.

- When putting on armour, it takes a long time to put it on, and he sometimes puts it on backwards, so he has to do it again.

- Sometimes, when the level starts, he could be looking the other way, and the player has to turn around.

- Takes some time to pat the flames off of him when he's hit by an imp fireball, or a mancubus missile (whatever you call those)

- Hesitates before getting on high elevators, and refuses to go on unless the player presses the forward key a second time.

- Around corners, he can sometimes stub his toe on the edge, which makes him flinch and subtracts 1 health.

- He walks slower, and also has more view bob the more ammo and weapons he has.

- Sometimes has trouble with doors and switches, causing them to need a second press in order to function.

- Accidentally kicks over singular rockets, causing an explosion, harming himself in the process.

- Lite Amplification goggles are sometimes put on at a weird angle, and need to be corrected.

 

Those are just a couple I could name off the top of my head. Terrible ideas, but also could be doable.

A clumsy Doom Slayer mod? I want that.

You roll around maps in an office chair. You carry the chair with you when ascending or descending stairs, slowly you down slightly and making you slightly less maneuverable.

 

And for a bonus: your weapons have recoil, so you roll backward when you fire your weapon, with more powerful weapons having more recoil. For example, the SSG has more recoil than the regular shotgun, the BFG has more recoil than the plasma gun, the rocket launcher has the most recoil of all. If you fire your weapon at the top of the stairs, your recoil sends you rolling back down the stairs. Neither the chainsaw nor fists have recoil.
