an unusual occurrence in the mod called moon man v1.3.1

for some reason when i use the ghetto blaster moon man dies after a few seconds of use why is that is that a glitch do i need to redownload the moon man mod?

Just about anything else. 

If you really want to play that mod you can try using different ports, e.g. ZDoom 2.8.1 or Zandronum 3.0. The way immunity to that attack was implemented breaks in GZDoom 2.2.0 and higher.
