Does Anyone Still Have This Classic Aluqah Wad?

Recommended Posts

Aluqah was a Cacoward winner for his Jokewad, "Mandrill Ass Project, but back in 2007, he made "Hell's Royalty Fantasy Palace."  It was probably his greatest work.  It's listed on the wiki page here: https://doomwiki.org/wiki/Aluqah.  However, there is no download link on his site, on the idgames archive, or anywhere.  Does anyone still happen to have it?

There was an idgames link in the wiki page: https://www.doomworld.com/idgames/levels/doom2/Ports/m-o/mandrill

You had me seriously scared there. I love Aluqah's stuff and didn't have them on this computer.

Edit: I'm royally dumb.

This is also pretty bad luck there since indeed the wad was released before they apparently opened their blog. I probably had that one given the date, but I don't have a compatible reader for the suspected old HDD at the moment.

Which of the other wads are missing? If one was found this quickly perhaps the rest will be as well.

This bit on Doomwiki would be a start I guess. For the rest I don't know:

These files were hosted on the old Geocities site, but removed in 2008, and were not previously archived.

Monasterio San Baco (sanbaco.zip)

Mutants Factory (mfactory.zip)

Last Monster's Refuge (lamore.zip)

Déjà-Vü (dejavu.zip)

The Cube (thecube.zip)

I don't remember playing any of these either.

Some of the WADs that were removed were remastered and repackaged as https://www.doomworld.com/idgames/levels/doom2/Ports/m-o/mandinga. Without the originals, though, it's impossible to determine the extent of the modifications. The .TXT includes a list with the original names:

  New name / Original name

11- Chaos                 El caos reptante
12- The docks             Psychosis series bonus level
13- Dark holes            The dark holes of the mind
14- Guard Tower           Maten a Aluqah (antes de que siga haciendo mapas)
15- The Cold futur        The cold embrace of future
31- Doomed world entrance Banished lands
32- Doomed world exit     Banished lands 2: the symetrycal massacre
16- Teleportation central Island of pain
17- Physcho city          Psychosis series II: Paranoia
18- Archaeological site   El cáliz de la vida
19- Hearth of evil        Io
20- It                    [unreleased]

I love you.  Like, seriously.  You need a foot massage or anything?

Thank you! It's a shame some of the other wads are lost as well. Aluqah is such an unique mapper.

He really is; Dolphin's Dream was my first introduction to a map that added layers onto Doom.

There appears to be an edited version of it here http://edthebat.com/doom/

Sweet!

I'm a huge fan of your wad review site, too!

In any case, I didn't think anyone would even know what I was talking about with a wad from '07, but this community is awesome.  I wish I could invite the 3 of you over for a Doom LAN party.
