fraggle Posted March 15, 2019 These are by Jay Adan who has done multiple previous sets of figures already and whom I basically consider to be "the guy" for Doom figures at this point: There are some more individual shots if you check out his Flickr feed. This is one of the 2013 sets, plus an extra Baron (Hell Knight) and three extra marines. These extras are 1996 figures and if you look closely you can see that the 2013 Indigo marine has a slightly different base to the others (I only noticed yesterday when taking this photo). The Arachnotron is Stompy, who I've previously talked about here on the forums. Suffice it to say I am delighted with the results and can't recommend Jay's work enough. His website is http://jayadan.com if anyone else is interested in commissioning a similar set. 51 Share this post Link to post
Dark Pulse Posted March 15, 2019 Now if only it was done with posable figures so new sprites could be made from them. 3 Share this post Link to post
sven_IDDQD Posted March 15, 2019 I might consider sending out a set for him to paint. His work looks really good. How much did it cost to have the entire set painted? 0 Share this post Link to post
fraggle Posted March 15, 2019 Not gonna lie, it wasn't cheap. His website has some pricing details - he does this as a full-time job now. I've been wanting to get my figures painted for a while now so I decided to just bite the bullet and pay. I don't have any regrets - Jay's work is worth it. 1 Share this post Link to post

So are you ready for them to invade your next Warhammer game now? :) 3 Share this post Link to post
Count651 Posted March 15, 2019 Shit, I'd paint these all for free. Just getting to paint them would be reward enough for me. 1 Share this post Link to post
LadyVader1138 Posted March 16, 2019 I wish a had multiple sets of these for my upcoming Doom D&D game I'm going to run. 2 Share this post Link to post
Doomkid Posted March 16, 2019 What a fantastic job he did, they all look wonderful. I love the pose the Barons are striking, like they just rolled a guaranteed strike at the local bowling alley and their friends are cheering them on. 6 Share this post Link to post

Avoozl Posted March 24, 2019 I didn't know the Chaingunner had a beard, I always assumed he had blood over his mouth. 0 Share this post Link to post

Check out some of Jay's previous work - it's his (now long) history of painting these figures and doing a fantastic job with them that convinced me I had to get him to do mine too. 0 Share this post Link to post

CyberDreams Posted March 25, 2019 Those look really great!! I never knew about the miniatures until a few months ago tbh. Of course i was only a little kid when the first sets came out so it makes sense :p I was never one for collectables either until recently. I guess the older ones are quite expensive and are more valuable unpainted (so i've read), but if you plan on keeping them the professional paint job makes them look amazing imo! 0 Share this post Link to post
Marlamir Posted March 25, 2019 @fraggle I've check his flickr site that was linked on main post and have to say i love what i saw on that site. 0 Share this post Link to post
